For 7 years all we heard was when there was a crisis Bush would usually be at his ranch or some other such place and you left wing kooks would criticize him. You wanted to know why he wasn't in DC working on the crisis. Now McCain does exactly that and you still criticize him? You folks don't really know what you want except another Govt handout.John K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07183596612722951676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8213262.post-74087482257660543292008-09-24T23:22:00.000-04:002008-09-24T23:22:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8213262.post-80343918232711867762008-09-24T22:04:00.000-04:002008-09-24T22:04:00.000-04:00What would he do if he were President? He hasn't been a significant player in the negotiations, so, what's the deal?

This is a bullshit ploy by McCain to make himself look like a leader. Yeah, the Senator who has been more absent than any other this year suddenly needs to get back to DC.

Desperate. Pathetic. Unpresidential.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8213262.post-29553319078385483112008-09-24T20:43:00.000-04:002008-09-24T20:43:00.000-04:00McCain tried for a "bold political move," but Obam...McCain tried for a "bold political move," but Obama trumped him immediately and ended up looking like more of a statesman. Duh? No kidding!

I will give the McCain camp credit for trying. They don't have much to run on right now (here's a YouTube video which nicely sums up John's economic bona fides http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvD912Wa_8g ) so they went for the biggy. The "This is what leaders" do sort of thing, but Obama's response was so spot on that is took my breath away. From a purely political and tactical standpoint, I think Obama gets the win and McCain will now have to decide what the hell he's going to do on Friday night!

'Cause, In the end, it makes McCain look like the person he is; afraid to step up and debate Obama on the issues!

ClydeClyde Wynanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08600162138209778979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8213262.post-47884459287463844682008-09-24T20:30:00.000-04:002008-09-24T20:30:00.000-04:00McCain is just throwing crap against the wall and ...McCain is just throwing crap against the wall and hoping something will stick.

I think the real issue is that McCain has realized he is unprepared for the debate and will be crushed.

I am impressed with the coolness Obama has shown through this whole thing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
