CNN just reported that FEMA has ceased rescue operations in New Orleans as they cannot ensure the safety of their workers. CNN also reported that thousands have headed over to the Convention Center thinking that it's another rescue site, but there are no authorities there. There are reports of many dead bodies inside the Convention Center. The reporter said that another reporter saw an infant die right in front of him.
These are hot, thirsty, hungry, dirty, sick, injured and DESPERATE people -- some with guns -- some dying. There is no access to water, food, medical care, working bathrooms or communications.
This, in a major American city.
We can all thank God that Bush is saving us from a "devastating terrorist attack."
