rabies shots really do hurt

Things I learned this week:

1. rabies shots really do hurt
2. they don't give them in the stomach anymore -- they give them in/around the bites
3. lots of very nice nurses at Presby
4. i am too claustrophobic for an MRI
5. that "hillbilly heroin" stuff Rush was on makes you not care about anything -- no wonder he lies so much
6. too hard typing and using mouse with left hand only

PS sorry to all trolls, but i really can't be part of RABID LEFT, now that I'm having rabies shots can I?

  2. took in stray cat

he was fine for a while but got more & more aggressive

then attacked my other cat (she's ok) and me

amazing how much damage cat bites can do -- very bad bacteria
probably not rabid, but don't know yet

was in hospital for a few days

    animal control captured the cat

pain killers making me VERY LOOPY

  3. oh i've seen cat bites. they can be nasty, get infected a lot of the time. i'm glad that you and your cat are doing ok!

never been bitten by a cat but i did have a pair of love birds, the female bit down on my finger once. god, it was like having a knife stuck into my finger. herman was always a sweetie but lily (yeah, the munsters) was a real bitch. herman and i both suffered her moodiness!

  4. Don't you get it? It's fairly obvious to me: that stray was a Bush operative.

  5. Must be true -- I've just added projectile vomiting to my repertoire -- this also explains the crap Rush spews over the airwaves

Think I can sell him my oxycontin?

  6. I rescue feral KITTENS now.I just feed the grown ones. I learned the hard way too..do not mess with the adults. I feel bad for you because I know exactly what you are going through. Plus the antibiotics they put me on were very expensive. I was scratched, not bitten thank god..but he hit an vein.

  7. Maria -- Glad you are okay, but ouch! My grandmother's ancient cat put her in the hospital for 3 days with just a scratch. Are you sick of people sharing their own cat stories? LOL.

Hope you are feeling better (and back to typing) soon.

  9. Thanks for all the well wishes!

The County informed me today that the cat was not rabid, so I can stop the shots.

You know what that means: if I'm already RABID, I can continue to be so. :-D
