Dammit timing is everything in this business. I was gonna blog on lil Ricky but the Other Political Junkie beat me to it. Dammit.
I couldn't blog on it then as I was at the Funnybone at Station Square watching Bill Scott, Gab Bonesso, John McIntire, and Gene Collier crack wise while dropping the f-bomb every 9 seconds or so.
It was all very funny. It was worth the price of admission alone to hear Gene Collier ramble on about the largest penis he'd ever seen. Or McIntire's story on how NOT to fuck up a marriage. Gab (can I call you "Gab"? THANKS!) was bouncing around so much I worried about the structural integrity of the stage. Emcee Bill Scott did a great job keeping everything going.
On the "name-dropping" front, I sat with my friends Sue and Laura and Councilman Bill Peduto. I had a beer. Peduto had a chicken sandwich and was dissappointed at the Funnybone's lack of dijon mustard.
Let me just say a few things about Lil Ricky's latest attempt to dig his sorry ass out of a double-digit deficit.
Our junior Senator from Pennsylavania, denouncer of masturbation and man-on-dog sex, protector of pre-natal feti everywhere, has finally showed us to be the loon that, in the quiet corners of our brains, we already knew him to be.
The report he talked about dates back to April. The "information" in it is from 2004. And so I'll ask it again, if the proof is there (about Iraq's WMD) then why hasn't the Bush Administration used it to publicly denounce all its war critics (60% of the population or something) as absolutely positively wrong?
The fact that they haven't shows exactly how bogus Rick's "information" is. And exactly how much of a turd the seesucker wearer is.
Rick Santorum - public loon.

Why is it lefties decide to degrade the quality of their posts with bad language? Just wondering. It really does not add anything to your posts and turns a lot of prospective readers off. try http://thesaurus.reference.com/ for different words.

- Re: The news of WMD's in Iraq. This is news that has been hashed over before. The shells that were found are WMD, they are just not shiny and new. They are items that the U.N. had told Saddam to give up and are probably like what was used on those pesky Kurds.
You know as well as I that WMD's was not the only reason given for the war in Iraq. They HAVE found evidence of them. Period. - Go ahead and disagree with IF the war should have been started, HOW it should have been handled, WHY we are there etc... But please be honest in the discussions and not just spout out leftist rhetoric. Bush did not lie about WMD's. Santorum's info is not false.
Oh! And regarding your question, "why hasn't the Bush Administration used it to publicly denounce..."
Perhaps the Bush Admin does not care what the war critics think or say. - It might be that his admin is keeping this hushed to keep the terrorists from glomming onto the stuff. I certainly hope they are trying to round up any and all of the nonexistant WMD's before the bad guys get them.
After all We would not want one of these torched off in Pittsburgh now would we?
They are not Weapons of Mass Destruction because they are degraded to the point where they cannot cause Mass Destruction.
"Why is it lefties decide to degrade the quality of their posts with bad language?"
Oh, and speaking of obscenities, the obscenity is the lies told to get us into Iraq and the crap that folks like you and Lil Ricky keep spreading to justify our being there.
But, you know, have a fucking great day. :-D
Maria, you are so stupid. Yes, -some- of the WMDs lost their potency, however many did not. For example if you had any clue whatsoever, you would know that sarin gas can be treated to have a long shelf life, especially when placed in aluminum vessels.
Straight from Wikipedia:
"According to the CIA, nations such as Iraq have tried to overcome the problem of sarin's short shelf life in two ways:
* The shelf life of unitary (i.e., pure) sarin may be lengthened by increasing the purity of the precursor and intermediate chemicals and refining the production process.
* Incorporating a stabilizer chemical called tributylamine. Later this was replaced by diisopropylcarbodiimide (di-c-di), which allowed for GB nerve agent to be stored in aluminum casings.
* Developing binary chemical weapons, where the two precursor chemicals are stored separately in the same shell, and mixed to form the agent immediately before or when the shell is in flight. This approach has the dual benefit of making the issue of shelf life irrelevant and greatly increasing the safety of sarin munitions"
Ahem...Did you read that last sentence? Allow me to remind you once again, just in case you missed it:
"This approach has the dual benefit of making the issue of shelf life irrelevant..."
If anything, we now know a lot more about Saddam Hussein's gruesome regime and what he was up to -- just another good, solid reason for taking him out. But of course, you'll disagree with that even after the evidence is clear and presented to you.
One has to wonder, considering you liberals like yourself relish in reminding the populace that the WMDs which were found date back to the early 1990s. If that's the case, where in the hell was Bill Clinton then? Certainly those same early 1990 WMDs didn't lose their potency during the Clinton Administration, but wait....he was too busy worrying about Monica doing the head-bob on his noggin. Any questions?
What about former Iraqi General Georges Sada who worked under Hussein himself, who said he saw many WMDs on their way to Syria.
Found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Sada
No comments? Of course not. I do not want to hear your "Where were the WMDs" argument from this point forward. If you insist on presenting that same argument, then you're both even bigger fools then I originally thought.
Dayvoe, no comments? Nothing to say? And you call Santorum a loon? Dude, look in the freaking mirror already.
Your silence speaks a thousand words over. You are wrong, and you know it.
Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
The weapons found have been identified as being from the period of the Iran/Iraq War. If you check the source materials quoted in the Wikipedia article you refer to you'll see that the CIA has said the following about munitions from that period:
"THE UNITARY FORM OF IRAQ'S SARIN - ITS PRINCIPAL NERVE AGENT - HAD
A RELATIVELY SHORT SHELF LIFE DURING THE WAR WITH IRAN."
So rather than deal with what was actually found, you're setting up either a hypothetical or false situation.
And, the Iran/Iraq war was during Poppy Bush's presidency -- but why bother with little things like facts, eh Braden?
