A follow-up on the Altmire/Hart race

Hey, remember this?

In late July, the Hart campaign manager said this:
"Health care is an important issue," said Hart campaign manager Luke Myslinski. "She will talk health care with him any time."
The next day the Altmire campaign said basically, "Ok. Where and when?"

As I posted last August 15th, there had been no response from the Hart Camp.

In the event you were curious, things haven't changed. A source close to the Altmire campaign tells me that Hart has already turned down invitations to appear with him from a number of non-partisan organizations.

Hmmm, I wonder why?

I also hear from that source that the Hart Campaign commissioned a poll a few weeks ago - but hasn't released the results.

Now why would a campaign sit on such information?

Could it be the numbers were too close for comfort?

Just asking.

  1. On Wednesday, Aug. 30, Working Families Win held a Candidate Forum to talk with both Jason Altmire and Melissa Hart about where they stand on healthcare.

Jason Altmire indicated that he would support H.R. 676, which would establish a universal healthcare system.

    Melissa Hart declined to attend.

  2. The fact that these incumbents - from either party - can get away without having to ever actual debate the serious issues facing this country prior to an election is sickening. If nobody's noticed, this system is broken.
