  1. Nothing like buying some drinks to support the murder of babies in the womb. Think about that while you drink "Vulvatinis". How repulsive.

  2. Let's ignore all the women who go to Planned Parenthood for birth control, prenatal care, and other gynecological services.

Let's also ignore the fact that birth control and real family planning prevents more abortions than all the abstinence only bullshit from the Right.

  3. Maria, you're missing the point. The talk about killing babies is just code. Birth control and feminine health is just as evil. It makes women uppity.

If women get the impression that they control their own bodies, next thing you know they'll be calling the cops when we men have to slap them around.

The fact that a second-class citizen like you even knows how to spell a word like "gynecological" is deeply disturbing. Come to think of it, the fact that you can spell!

Don't you have a chicken to pluck?

  4. If Planned Parenthood just did you what you referred to, it wouldn't be so bad. The problem is that they provide abortions as part of their "services" (see Planned Parenthood homepage). Buying a drink at this event helps to support the death of an unborn child. There's no way you can deny that.

  5. You'd best stay out of unholy places like churches, Anon.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 or 25 percent of all recognized pregnancies end in miscarriage. That makes your god -- whichever one you care to worship -- the universe's greatest abortion butcher. You must really hate your god, huh?

Hmm...I wonder if god might be gay, too.

  6. I've suggested creating coffins for tampons before (just in case...), but the Fundies keep ignoring that idea.

  7. Good point. We need legislation that makes it illegal to menstruate without a pelvic examination performed by the local archbishop. (Can't trust the priests, they'd only want to examine the boys.)

Maybe this rump session of the right-wing Congress can get it sent up for Monkey Man's signature in time for Christmas. It would make a fitting birthday present for Jesus.

  8. Anon. says, "Buying a drink at this event helps to support the death of an unborn child. There's no way you can deny that."

Anon., news flash - every tax payer, willingly or not, is supporting the deaths of unborn children & born children, everyday, via our tax dollars, which the Bush administration sends off to support the US occupation of Iraq.

Considering your love of convoluting - there's probably a way you can deny that.

  9. You guys are so damn funny -- bringing up the war in Iraq, claiming that I hate God and even saying something about God being gay? Is that all you can come back at me with? How pathetic.

Convoluting? That's not even a word. And the crack on priests and boys? Get a new one. You liberals milked that one a long time ago.

Are you kidding me? Is this how you respond to facts? Planned Parenthood provides abortions. This party that Maria is helping to promote benefits Planned Parenthood. Therefore, attending this event and giving any money to it supports the murder of babies in the womb.

  10. Translation: it only counts if American "babies" are being killed.

And, this can be called a "baby."

  11. Thanks for restating our arguments, Anon. Next time, maybe try answering one.

Fact: Your god does more abortions than all the doctors in the world.
    Your answer here:

Fact: Priests are well documented to be particularly prone to homosexual pedophilia.
    Your answer here:

I refuse to take your bait and turn this into an ad hominem flame-war, but you're not dealing with facts, just opinion. The only fact you present is one we'll all agree on: Planned Parenthood works in all areas of womens' health including abortion. You didn't have to remind us of that again. It's a given.

There's no factual basis for equating abortion with either babies or murder. The word "baby" as you use it is nothing but an emotional string puller; and abortion is clearly not "murder," which is a legal term that implies illegal death.

If you Fundamentalists want to cut down on abortion, start supporting family planning instead of fighting it. Do you know that abortions in the U.S. decreased every year that Clinton was president? And as soon as Bush got into office, they started rising again. When you start figuring out why, you will start moving away from irrational, ineffective, faith-based tactics to reality-based, effective methods of actually reducing the number of abortions.

Be warned, though. The fundy politicians will fight you all the way. They don't want fewer abortions. They want a political issue.

  12. Convoluting is, infact, a word. At least it is in my Webster's Unabridged Dictionary, 2nd Edition.

People who live in the real world agree that Webster's is a factual, reliable, trust worthy source.

However, those who live in the shadows, distorting, ignoring, confusing &/or manipulating all manner of facts, would probably deny that.

  13. 1. My God peforms abortions? Ha ha ha. Yeah...my God is sitting there saying "Hmmm...I wonder which baby I want to kill in the womb". Oh no..that's right...it's the women that get abortions that decide to do that instead.

    2. As I said before, the priest thing is overused and old news. Speaking of "facts", why don't you show me all of the documentation you refer to -- instead of making some blanket statement as you have done. If it is "well documented", then prove it.

    3. Abortion is clearly murder. The child in the womb has no choice in your world -- only the choice of the mother -- who doesn't find it convenient to bring a baby into the world. Last time I checked the dictionary (hint, hint Gloria) -- it showed the following entry for murder:

"The crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice aforethought"

Hmmmm...let's see....killing a child that cannot choose to live on its own. Thinking about it BEFORE you do it. Hmm....sounds like abortion to me.

    4. Fundamentalist? Who said I was one? You have NO idea what my religion or political party is. Once again, some blanket statement that you assume to be true.

    5. More abortions under Bush than Clinton? Well John, since you're Mr. Facts, why don't you show me proof of that? Once again, another statement without anything to reference to prove it. I'm guessing you're going to send me some web page from Planned Parenthood's site or NARAL -- instead of some third-party/independent source of facts.

As I said in my first post to start this whole thing, think about all of those lives ended by abortion as you enjoy your vulvatinis. Disgusting.

  14. You cover a lot of territory there, Anon.

    1) As you can verify with a couple of mouse clicks, some 15-to-25 percent of all recognized pregnancies end in spontaneous abortions, also known as miscarriages. Who performs these abortions if not your all-powerful deity?

    2) There's another word for "old news" -- history.

    3) Do you even read what you type? Do you understand the meaning word "unlawfully?" I won't even bother to comment on your calling a clump of fewer cells than a fly's brain a person. Oops, I did comment.

    4) You busted me. I should have said "you and your Fundamentalist friends." I apologize for accusing you of being such a nonsensical person.

    5) You misquoted me. Quoting me: "Do you know that abortions in the U.S. decreased every year that Clinton was president? And as soon as Bush got into office, they started rising again. Of course, Clinton had 12 years of Republican predecessors, so naturally the numbers were much higher when he came into office than when Bush came in after a Democratic president. If you don't like NARAL, how about the National Right To Life Committee? Or a they too liberal for you?

    Read 'em and weep.

  15. Hmm, anchor tags don't seem to be working. The link to the NRLC is http://www.nrlc.org/abortion/facts/abortionstats.html.

  16. I weep. You're damn right I weep. I weep that life in the womb is not given the same "choice" that people like you defend so vigorously.

  17. Well, then Anon, next time don't vote for somebody like G W "Baby Killer" Bush.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Once again, another stupid assumption. Just because I am pro-life doesn't mean I voted for Bush. I sure as hell didn't vote for Kerry either.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Once again, another misquote. Or perhaps you can point out where I accused you of voting for Mr. Bush?

It's not my job to teach you how to debate, Anon; but really, for the sake of the discussion, read what your worthy opponent has written before you respond. And read what you have written before you click the "Post" button.

It will save you from all this humiliation.

I'm not asking you to do anything too difficult, such as answering my points or making sense. Just try to read, OK?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Worthy opponent? Ha ha ha. Stop. I'm laughing too hard. Damn. I just fell off of my chair. Thanks for that!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm sorry, Anon, but I simply won't be able to continue this discussion. You have completely left the field of facts and insist on name-calling and personal attacks.

I had hoped you could rise above your baser instincts. Pity.

Are there no conservatives on this blog who can take on my arguments rather than my name, parentage, or humanity?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Dude...you've completely lost your marbles. Name calling? Personal attacks? You're the one that put your name in wrong when you put the last post in.

  23. Quoting me, many times on this blog:

These people are completely deaf to irony.
