The name is pronounced "Day-voh" not "Davey-voh."
Twice in the past week I was approached by two different people (and you know who you are!) who each asked me, "Hey, are you Davey-voh?"
It's "Dayvoe." It's pronounced just like it's spelled - y'know, like "Wojciehowicz."

ReplyDeleteBut here's a recommendation: Go to Whole Foods in the East End and pick yourself up a Black and White cookie, or "Thumbprint" cookie from the former Kaufmann's dahn-tahn (what's the place called these days??).
You won't be sorry with either cookie.
