John K: LOL LOL LMAO Hussein Obama took two words here and a couple of words there from at least five news organizations and strung them together in a sentence. And you talk about smear. Is this all you left wingers got. LMAO Obama's grandmother, yah the racist one, can see through this. LOL LOL LOL

Even your godfather Karl Rove admits McCain has gone too far. Time to give up the ghost, Hussein JohnK.

Don't be pathetic, John K.

Do you need someone to explain to you what a smear actualy is, because quoting from newspapers doesn't fit that definition.

If you can't stand the lying you've endorsed and been party too, maybe it's time you recognize it for what it is and give it up.

If Karl Rove can see that McCain is lying, what's that say about you, John?

I'll tell ya - willing to do and say anything to hold on to power.

Own it, John K. It's who you are.

John K. said...

John K: Own what? The fact that you pulled a word here and a word there from news organizations and strung them together in a sentence. You sound desparate to me. LOL

John K. said...

John K: Hey, if Hussein Obama is a community organizer like Jesus then why isn't Jesus allowed to organize in the Schools? Why can't a person who is graduating first in their class invoke the name of God on the podium? And at Christmas why can't we put the community organizer, Jesus, on display in the town square? ACLU anyone. LOL LOL LOL LMAO Community organizer LOL LOL Liberals, what a bunch of phonies.

John K: What's this! Hussein Obama received the 2nd largest amount of contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Sen. Dodd received the largest. Hillary is on the list also. Gee, I had no idea that as a taxpayer I contributed to Hussein Obama's political campaign. Well well well no wonder they went under eh?

It's well past time for this. It's been time for this for weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks. I hope it works, but they just may have waited too long.

The prediction markets at Intrade are currently showing -- for the first time since the end of the primaries -- McCain beating Obama with 271 Electoral College votes. Obama's name seems to have disappeared from the news as the media went with their "all Sarah, all the time" coverage.

And now (finally) he pops up and tells us, "but it isn't true", after the lies have been given a chance to settle in and be accepted.

My biggest worry about Obama was always that he had never, ever faced a real general election fight for any of the offices he's held. His performance since the convention has been worse than worthless, and he's making John Kerry seem agressive in comparison.

Obama raised $66 million in August. What in the hell is he spending that money on, if not to produce and run ads like this one?

I'm afraid Jesus wouldn't agree with you, John.

First, he'd probably tell you to stop being a hypocrite and making a show of your religion.

Second, with that in mind, he'd probably tell you to go to your room and pray, because your Father is their in secret:

"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (Matthew 6:6 NIV)"

No one is stopping you from practicing your religion, John. But this country was founded on a principle of religious freedom, so quit acting like a child because people rebuke the right's efforts to force everyone to follow their beliefs.

If your going to continue to espouse unAmerican beliefs, I strongly recommend you read Thomas Jefferon's Virginia Statutes of Religious Freedom or John Adams' work on the Massachusetts constitution or this quote from President John Tyler:

"The United States have adventured upon a great and noble experiment, which is believed to have been hazarded in the absence of all previous precedent -- that of total separation of Church and State. No religious establishment by law exists among us. The conscience is left free from all restraint and each is permitted to worship his Maker after his own judgement. The offices of the Government are open alike to all. No tithes are levied to support an established Hierarchy, nor is the fallible judgement of man set up as the sure and infallible creed of faith. The Mahommedan, if he will to come among us would have the privilege guaranteed to him by the constitution to worship according to the Koran; and the East Indian might erect a shrine to Brahma if it so pleased him. Such is the spirit of toleration inculcated by our political Institutions.... "

Back to the topic at hand...quit trying to change the subject.

If Karl Rove can recongize that John McCain is lying, what's that say about you, John K.?

I tell you what it says: You and your party will do and say anything to get a little power.

Own it, John K. If you're going to be a LIAR, then own up to it.

And if not, then drop the moral relavatism and recognize what even Karl Rove has about McCain's campaign.

John K. said...

John K: LMAO I mean that was funny. Me making a show of my religion. You lunatic. You are the folks walking around and giving speeches in Congress saying Hussein Obama is like Jesus. LOL LOL If you are going to give those speeches, hypocrites, then live up to it. Oh man are you lefties dumb. What that guns and bible speech Obama gave backfired. LMAO

John K. said...

John K: Isn't it great to know left wing kooks, that Hussein Obama, Hillary and Dodd financed their political campaigns from money Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae could have used to help people with their mortgages. I bet you are real proud of that. LMAO Franklin Raines is the man eh? One million to Jesse Jackson. I love mocking you lefties. LMAO

John K. said...

John K: Lastly to Jaywillie, the Obama is Jesus freak, can you show me in the Constitution the clause that says separation of church and state. It says congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. Not freedom from religion. Even Washington took his oath on a Bible. Except for Hussein Obama who is like Jesus. LMAO LMAO LOL Hypocrites.

Ladies and Gentlemen;

John K shows us AGAIN that he's abandoned any hope of actually winning any discussion we're having.

When he knows he's going to lose, he simply changes the subject.

For instance, what did this:

Hey, if Hussein Obama is a community organizer like Jesus then why isn't Jesus allowed to organize in the Schools?

have to do with the topic?

Nothing. John K is just looking to change the subject because he knows he's lost.

Feel free to ignore John K.

Freedom of speech doesn't guarantee that anyone has to speak back.

I Am The People, The Mob

by Carl Sandburg

I AM the people--the mob--the crowd--the mass.
Do you know that all the great work of the world is
done through me?
I am the workingman, the inventor, the maker of the
world's food and clothes.
I am the audience that witnesses history. The Napoleons
come from me and the Lincolns. They die. And
then I send forth more Napoleons and Lincolns.
I am the seed ground. I am a prairie that will stand
for much plowing. Terrible storms pass over me.
I forget. The best of me is sucked out and wasted.
I forget. Everything but Death comes to me and
makes me work and give up what I have. And I
forget.
Sometimes I growl, shake myself and spatter a few red
drops for history to remember. Then--I forget.
When I, the People, learn to remember, when I, the
People, use the lessons of yesterday and no longer
forget who robbed me last year, who played me for
a fool--then there will be no speaker in all the world
say the name: "The People," with any fleck of a
sneer in his voice or any far-off smile of derision.
The mob--the crowd--the mass--will arrive then.

John K. said...

John K: To Dayvoe, but you can't. Because like Limbaugh I am right.

John K. said...

John K: The mob also cut off the head of the leader of the mob, Robespierre. Mob justice also led to lynchings and house burnings etc. Feminists like the mob though. They use it to convict people of crimes not yet committed. We have a Senate to protect us from the mob. And in this country it works.

John K. said...

John K: Well if Hussein Obama is like Jesus, a community organizer, what do you, Dayvoe, think of Jesus organizing in schools? Or perhaps organizing a nativity scene in the town square? I hit you right square on the nose (as Biden would say) with those comments. The left thought they owned those Jesus comments when in actuality they sue at the mere mention of religion. Get the ACLU after these liberals. LMAO

Dayvoe said...

John K;

Every time you change the subject you prove that you have nothing to say.

Again, so you actually know what you're talking about, I strongly recommend you read Jefferson's Virginia Statutes of Religious Freedom, John Adams' Religious freedom clause and what Madison had to say on the matter in the Federalist Papers:

If you actually knew anything about your country, John, instead of espousing all of these unAmerican beliefs that you hold, you'd know that it was Thomas Jefferson who first used that phrase:

"Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State."

From the Virginia Statutes on Religious Freedom:

"...no man shall be compelled to frequent or support any religious worship, place, or ministry whatsoever, nor shall be enforced, restrained, molested, or burthened in his body or goods, nor shall otherwise suffer on account of his religious opinions or belief; but that all men shall be free to profess, and by argument to maintain, their opinion in matters of religion, and that the same shall in no wise diminish enlarge, or affect their civil capacities."

The basis for separation for Church and State, John, because you clearly DO NOT KNOW is established by the "Free Excercise" Clause and the "Establishment" Clause.

And you and the entire party you belong to makes a mockery of Jesus and Christianity(mostly because you are ABSOLUTELY NOT Christians - sorry to break that to you, but you're not).

How do you mock your religion, John?

When you make jokes about someone being the Messiah. When you wear your religion on your sleeves, when you make a show of it by admonishing others for their flaws while ignoring your own.

What I want to know, John, is exactly whose Jesus do we teach in the schools? The Catholic Jesus? Because he's not the same as the Protestant Jesus. The Born-Again Jesus? The Baptist interpretation of the Bible? The Methodist? Presbyterian? Episcopalian? Presbyterian USA? Assembly of God? Unitarians? Quakers?

And exaclty why is it, John, that you feel the government would be better at teaching MY CHILDREN OUR FAMILY'S RELIGION?

Why do you think, John, that my Catholic family should have to be insulted with offensive protestant interpreations of the Book of Revelations, which we DO NOT believe in?

Why do you think, John, that my Catholic family should have to listen and say someone else's prayer in school?

Why is it, John, that your faith is so weak, that the faith of the rightwing in this country is so weak, that they have to make a public show of their religion?

Why is it, John, that you prefer to change the law instead of the hearts of people, which Jesus believed in doing?

Why, John? Explain to me why you want to force my Catholic family to comport to someone else's religious beliefs in public.

P.S. It's your side calling Obama Jesus - not us. Show me one quote from someone on the left saying Obama is the Messiah.

Of course, there is John McCain - the ONLY person who can SAVE us. As Joe Lieberman said, God only made ONE John McCain.

Again, John - which candidate has the Messiah complex? Perhaps it's the one who believes he can lie with impugnity and never be called for it. Perhaps it's the one who sold out his beliefs to kowtow to extreme rightwing radicals. Perhaps it's the one who believes the reason he DESERVES the Presidency is because of the suffering he endured 40 years ago?

P.S. Was McCain tortured in Vietnam, John? Because George W. Bush won't define what McCain went through as torture. Would Jesus support torture, John?

And perhaps you can point me to the part in the Constitution that says torture is acceptable, warrantless wiretapping is legal and the President has the power to start wars?

Your an unAmerican hypocrite, John.

And you're a liar. Just like John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Just peas in a pod.

I just want to point out that John K. doesn't believe that Separation of Church and State exists in this country.

He's a person who has rewritten history to suit his views, despite what Jefferson, Madison, Adams, Tyler and many, many, many others have said on the subject.

Apparently, John K. knows more than the people who actually wrote the Contstitution and the Declaration and many of the state laws that have gone on to form the principles of our uniquely American form of democracy.

And he wants to teach your children someone else's religion.

An open note to John K.:

Look man, I'm borderline sympathetic to your cause. Up through 2001 or so, I was firmly in the Republican camp. So I'm not some raving leftist that you can easily dismiss with one of your "LOL LMAO" comments.

But here's the thing. I actually wanted to see some discussion of this advertisement among the regular commenters here at 2PJ. Including yourself. Way up at the top of this thread, I posted what I thought was a pretty decent analysis of how this kind of thing might be too late to do much good for Obama, and I would have loved to have someone respond to it.

But you had to go and take the entire thread way-way-way off-topic with this whole religion in schools thing. And I would love to discuss that with you and everyone else sometime. Just not here.

Could you please, sir, at least attempt to restrain yourself and your rhetoric, limiting your comments to the topic at hand.

And could everyone else please, please, please not allow yourselves to feed the troll. It's ruining what little bit of debate we do have amongst those who actually want to discuss the topics presented here.

sorry richard, i doubt that you will get any sort of a response from johnny on that one.

as for your commentary on the obama camp finally growing a pair, better late than never! and i disagree with you and your assessment of obama making kerry look aggressive. i've seen a senator obama who's addressed things head on, going back to the primaries and his amazing speech on race in america. HE's addressing the issues. the media are not covering it.

that's the difference.

"What in the hell is he spending that money on, if not to produce and run ads like this one?"

I think he's spending a lot of it on his ground game. For example, I heard this morning that he had 300 paid workers in OH when the norm for that state in a presidential campaign is 30.
