Such fiscal oversight! The biggest project that Sarah Palin undertook as mayor of this small town was an indoor sports complex, where locals played hockey, soccer, and basketball, especially during the long, dark Alaskan winters.
The only catch was that the city began building roads and installing utilities for the project before it had unchallenged title to the land. The misstep led to years of litigation and at least $1.3 million in extra costs for a small municipality with a small budget. What was to be Ms. Palin's legacy has turned into a financial mess that continues to plague Wasilla.
Okay, I had a feeling there was going to be some serendipity between these two mayors.
ReplyDeleteAh, the incompetence of GW and the arrogance for checks and balances that Cheney displayed. Got to love Sarah Palin.
ReplyDeleteJohn K: And then Palin went on to become Governor of a state that has counties the size of Delaware and a budget 7X more than anything Hussein Obama has seen. Not to mention an 80% approval rating. All the time raising 5 good kids. And Hussein Obama lists community activist as a resume enhancer. LMAO LMAO Keep atacking Palin. Oh yah!
ReplyDeletejohn k,
ReplyDeleteHow many of those State budgets has Giv. Palin actually sent to her Legislature, in her less than 2years as Governor?
And, when she's sending each resident a $3000 check, it's amazing that her approval is only 80%.
Let me guess: You can use her "raising 5 good kids," but if I say anything at all, I'm attacking the baby.
BTW: You aren't married, are you?
John K: The best part is the money comes from oil profits. And she wants to drill more in her State to send even more money to the citizens. Pisses off the left that $3,000. After all, in the minds of liberals, oil windfall profits are better managed in the hands of govt officials rather than the private citizens. And Palin understands that citizens deserve the profits rather than some govt agent. Which is why her approval is 80% and Pelosi is 9%. LMAO at how dumb the left really is.
ReplyDeleteJohn K: But Hussein Obama understand that also. He wants to hit up the oil companies but only send a paltry $1,000 to certain citizens. Not all citizens. And, of course there is no objection from the left when Hussein Obama does this. LOL LOL LOL Of course there also is no objection from the left when Obama says the surge in Iraq worked. Can we also say Gen. Betrayus. LMAO Stick your foot in your mouth left wing kooks, its well worth the price.
ReplyDeleteJohn K: Don't sweat it Kimber, Palin did what you only dream of. Raised a family without govt help. That really pisses off the Oprah crowd. LOL LOL LMAO
ReplyDeletejohnk,
ReplyDeleteYou favor government taxation of income, to re-distribute it to people who are entitled to it because they live in AK?
Socialist!
And, I didn't comment on Gov. Palin's family.
I said that I didn't think that you were married, let alone have any kids.
I stand by that, btw.
So is sarah Palin going to extend that oil windfall profits tax you mention, John K.? I thought John McCain supported lower taxes on rich corporations, not higher ones.
ReplyDeleteJohn K: Read carefully left wing kooks. Hussein Obama proposes hitting the oil companies with windfall profits and giving the money to the govt. Palin gave, as in returned the investment, of the money to the people directly. Without a govt middleman involved. Now no self respecting liberal would ever return money to the people. Look at Onorato and the drink tax for instance. Left wing kooks need to be able to think for themselves without the benefit of the DailyKos.
ReplyDeletejohnk,
ReplyDeleteIt'd be funny, if it wasn't so sad, when you say:
" Palin gave, as in returned the investment, of the money to the people directly. Without a govt middleman involved."
POWER TO THE PEOPLE! No, wait. Like I said, you seem to be serious. Didn't the State of AK collect the tax from those oil companies? Isn't that a "govt middleman?" And you say that taxing a private business, and taking the profits of that business from the shareholders and re-distributing it to the people of a state would be considered welfare to you, no different than Aid to Families with Dependent Children. But you say that it's "returning the investment?"
POWER TO THE PEOPLE, MY BROTHER! YES! IT'S NOT A "TRANSFER PAYMENT," TRANSFERING MONEY FROM THE FOLKS WHO MAKE IT TO PEOPLE WHO "DESERVE IT" JUST BECAUSE THEY LIVE IN THE STATE. IT'S RETURNING THE INVESTMENT---TO THE PEOPLE! POWER TO THE PEOPLE, RIGHT ON, BROTHER JOHNK!!!
(I lied. It's not sad, it really is funny as hell. LOL!)
John K: If Palin had aborted her down's baby and collected the oil money and kept it at the State level, she would be on the Oprah show next week. But she didn't. A pro life feminist. Oh Yah! She did what the left only dreams of doing. LMAO
ReplyDeletejohnk,
ReplyDeleteIsn't Alaska, (S. Palin, Governor), just forcing the oil companies to "Share the Wealth?"
POWER TO THE PEOPLE, BROTHER JOHNK!
(You closet socialist, you!)
So John K., you say "Now no self respecting liberal would ever return money to the people." You also said "But Hussein Obama understand that also. He wants to hit up the oil companies but only send a paltry $1,000 to certain citizens."
ReplyDeleteThe "certain" citizens would be people making under $250,000. Actually, some of the money would come from people making over $250,000. I don't think the Obama tax cut is supposed to be tied to a windfall oil profits tax. but the point is that Alaskans get a lot of money, from the government, that the government takes from the oil companies. If the Alaskan state government took less money from the oil companies, maybe gas would cost less in a small town in Iowa and big city like Pittsburgh.
