THE. WORST. POLITICAL. WEB. AD. EVER.
As TPM advises, "Just watch extra closely at the 2:26 mark. And then at 2:38. There are no words."

What were they smoking? Had to be something, because no one could sit in an edit suite and think this bit of flotsam was either funny, scary or compelling on any level. It's simply boring and well, incredibly stupid. Seeing some guy in "sheep's clothing," climbing over a hillside is an image that will haunt me forever :-)
ReplyDeleteTHIS, on the other hand, is very funny!

Clyde,
ReplyDeleteI posted similar thoughts here.
Also, I always loved that cartoon -- especially the the part where they punch the timeclock.
The part with the sheep on the pedestal reminded me of nothing so much as a Terry Gilliam cartoon. I kept waiting for a giant human foot to crush the herd.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering, though, whether that bit with the guy crawling around in the wolf suit was a subtle appeal to the furries ... a key demographic in California politics. We're talking half of Orange County ALONE.
That must also explain the scene where the demon sheep sticks his head up from doing something in a ditch. The furries are meant to use their imagination to fill in the details. Eeewe!
ReplyDeleteI think you meant to type, "Ewe!"
ReplyDeleteI did type "Ewe!" but then added extra e's because I thought people would still get it.
ReplyDelete:-P~~~~~

ReplyDeleteOh, absolutely. The Furries are considering merging with the Tea Baggers, too, I heard. They'll be called the Fur Bags....
