That first story links to this AP piece about a Christian organization that's set the date for the Rapture. (It's May 21, by the way). The interesting part of this millenialist thinking is how self-innoculating it is. Take a look:
"If May 21 passes and I'm still here, that means I wasn't saved. Does that mean God's word is inaccurate or untrue? Not at all," [Allison Warden, of Raleigh, North Carolina] said.So if no one is enraptured that still wouldn't prove God's word is inaccurate, just that no one was saved.
But that's not the point of this blog post. Take a look at that last link - despite the fact that WND has linked to a story that asserts the Rapture will occur in late May, they're still linking to a site that sells life insurance.
I know that war is good for business and peace is good for business, but who would've guessed that news of the apocalypse is good for business?
Dayvoe, tomorrow the new house will be sworn in then you won't have to post such bs!!
