As reports come in that 18 children and 8 adults were killed today in a tragic mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school, we know these things to be facts: Gunmakers are seeing record sales and mass shootings are good business for the NRA in terms of fundraising.
Sick.
we know these things to be facts: ... mass shootings are good business for the Media Matter and the progressive blog they support in terms of fundraising.
ReplyDeleteGhoul
18 children murdered at CT school. Let’s discuss the [INSERT SHOOTING TRAGEDY HERE].
ReplyDeleteBut Maria, you KNOW what they're gonna say:
ReplyDeleteHad there been a TEACHER or ADMINISTRATOR or JANITOR who was armed, this might not have happened. It's NOT our fault for wanting to make sure that every American has a right to defend him or her self! It's the fault of the liberal gun grabbers who'll do anything to keep the guns OUT of that school! The blood is on their hands not ours!
As surely as the sun sets in the west, that's what they're gonna say.
yep
ReplyDeleteAnd here's Ann Coulter calling for more concealed gun permits:

@Davoe,, I won't say that if you'll agree 100% with NO equivocation that, no matter what type and number of gun control regulations - nut cases and criminals *will* find a way to get their hands on weapons.
ReplyDelete(I thought Schools were a gun-free zone. Also, it is my understanding CT, NYC, Chicago et al have some of the most stringent gun control laws. Why are there shootings in these locations?)
CM - of course the insane and criminals will get their hands on weapons, but doesn't it matter what kinds? A return to a three day waiting period for all guns and a ban on all military-style pistols and rifles, high capacity magazines and especially lethal ammunition. That three day waiting period might allow a angry person to calm down, and allow authorities to notice a dangerously insane person is trying to buy a gun.
ReplyDeleteCiting Connecticut, New York and Chicago (again)? Isn't (once again) blaming the victims in fairly bad taste?
And here it is:

and the money shot:
Gun control supporters have the blood of little children on their hands. Federal and state laws combined to insure that no teacher, no administrator, no adult had a gun at the Newtown school where the children were murdered. This tragedy underscores the urgency of getting rid of gun bans in school zones. The only thing accomplished by gun free zones is to insure that mass murderers can slay more before they are finally confronted by someone with a gun.
That was fast.
