Congratulations, Pennsylvania!

Congratulations, Pennsylvania! You are the 19th state to be on the right side of history.

  1. Quoting the opinion "Citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are not guaranteed the right to marry the person they love."

Does the “right to marry the person they love” apply to persons who are already married or related?

I would guess the answer is no. Noting the use of the word couples in the opinion
“have concluded that all couples deserve equal dignity in the realm of civil marriage.”

  2. Frankly, I don't have an issue with polygamy. Its not something I'm into, but if all parties are consenting, I really don't care. Incest, for genetic reasons is a lot dicier, but the crowned heads of Europe have been marrying cousins for centuries. Again, not my cuppa, but so long as everyone is a consenting adult?

  3. Httt, you say "Does the “right to marry the person they love” apply to persons who are already married or related?" Let's ask John McCain (who at least had the decency to eventually apologize) or Newt Gingrich (no decency here) about the married part. Or did you want to throw them under the bus?

"Couple" would indicate two people who are already together, not two people who are not together but claim they would like to be.

Let someone bring a case asking to marry a close relative, and see what liberals say about it. You can claim liberals would support this, but you have no proof and I, as a liberal, say a majority would not. Until there is some proof, all you are doing is slandering people.
