  1. it's all spin, it's easier when you can blame the victims. it's akin to saying a rape victim "asked" for it by being dressed wrong(whatever that may be) or out late or in the wrong place or trusting the wrong person or not keeping an eye on their drink( drugs)anything to blame the wrong person or my god, your car was stolen because you forgot to lock the doors once or parked in a poorly lit area(how about blaming the thief?)
spin, but it's losing it's effectiveness. finally some journalists are writing and showing what the real face of war looks like instead of the party line while humming "proud to be an american"
a lot of the americans in beruit were probably civilians working for american companies and our government probably assured them it was safe.

  2. Nice blog! I just found it via Shakespeare's Sister.

I too am a political blogger, specifically I blog a lot on the right-wing. I've spent the past 8+ years studying and writing about those wacky wingers. (Yes, I am a masochist.)

I'm also getting ready to add "from pgh" to my name, I'm moving there at the end of August. So, I'm just dropping by to say hello, n'at.
