McCain's Got Some Work To Do

Uh-oh.

He's gone and annoyed The Club for Growth.

Looks like the Senator Straight Talk is looking to flip-flop on taxes, and that's shocked the fiscal conservatives over at Toomey's club. Take a look-see:

We listened with concern yesterday to your interview with George Stephanopoulos on Social Security. When asked if you would be open to raising the payroll tax, you refused to rule out a tax increase, saying “There is nothing that’s off the table.”

This statement was particularly shocking because you have been adamant in your opposition to raising taxes under any circumstances. In a March 2007 interview with Ramesh Ponnuru of the National Review, you ruled out accepting tax increases as part of a compromise to entitlement reform. And on February 17 of this year, you told George Stephanopoulos, “No new taxes . . . In fact, I could see an argument, if our economy continues to deteriorate, for lower interest rates, lower tax rates, and certainly decreasing corporate tax rates, which are the second highest in the world, giving people the ability to write off depreciation in a year, elimination of the AMT.”

Once it was "no new taxes" and now it's "There is nothing that's off the table."

Flip-flopper.

  1. John K: Gallup poll of likely voters McCain 49% Obama 45%. You liberals know what a likely voter is don't you? They are people who voted in the last election and are likely to vote in this one. Of course you lefties tend to poll 5 year old kids and crack addicts and people who aren't registered and one lefty on this blog even polled the Germans. LMAO. But I have likely voters. Yes, ain't it sweet.
    Of course Olbermouth covered with the spin that Gallup is confused. LOL LOL LOL LMAO
    So Obama goes overseas and comes back a loser. LOL LOL
    WORK HARDER LEFTIES, THIS IS TOO EAST!

  2. To John K;

    Nice way of deflecting the point.

    Also your use of this poll has already been debunked here:

  3. John K: Of course the poll has been debunked. It is for likely voters. Democrats never poll likely voters, they poll 5 year old kids and Germans. Olbermouth gave you cover by stating that Gallup was confused. But you forgot to tell the crew of "Morning Joe". They were advising Hussein Obama on how to gain support of those likely voters that he lost. WORK HARDER LEFTIES, YOU ARE LOSING!

  5. John K: Hey I have an idea. On Aug14th the Pirates are having a rock band and fireworks at PNC Park. That usually draws a full house. Have someone get on the stage and make a short Hussein Obama speech. Then you lefties can say you polled Pittsburgh and they all cheered Obama. LMAO See how easy it is to do an Obama poll. Likely voters left wing kooks, likely voters, get used to it. LMAO
