Maybe that 1970s hair on his head is growing into his brain or one of his many schemes for life after the governorship included getting a gig on the TV series Life on Mars.
Proof that being a schmuck knows no party boundaries. Truth to tell, there are some number of particualr Democrats I would trade for some number of particular Republicans in my fantasy political party (like fantasy football maybe?). John Dingall seems like a decent guy, has long fought for his Michigan constituents. But that has put him on the wrong side of some pollution and CAFE standards legislation. On the other hand, Tom Coburn apparently set a Senate Record on personal holds on legislation (prompting Harry Reid to create a "Tomnibus" bill, of some of Coburn's greatest hits, hoping Republicans would agree about Coburn's worst excesses; the bill was defeated). But coburn has also lead the fight against earmarks, and seems like a remarkably principled guy (like Chuck Hagel, as well). I don't wish Blagojevich well in his indictment.
Love the original English version of Life on Mars.
John K: Big deal. Today he is back at his job as Governor. And he will remain Governor for quite awhile. Just like William Jefferson (D-LA). I am suprised you folks are not advocating he just end it and appoint himself as Senator. It would fit. After all, he blamed it on Nixon. Besides, then he could not be impeached and use his office as Senator to escape any punishment. Just like William Jefferson.
John K: Didn't take you left wingers long to blame it on Republicans. LOL LOL LMAO Own it left wing kooks. He is back on the job and you Democrats love it.
John K: Anyone listening to Limbaugh. So what did Hussein Obama know about this? His lie, that he knew nothing, has been contradicted. Limbaugh is really having a lot of fun with this. LOL LOL LMAO and so am I. This is as much fun as McGreevey. Ed, how long did you left wingers let McGreevey stay in power? LMAO
If people wish to continue to debate a truly imbalanced individual such as JK, I suppose there is nothing that can be done about that.
And I know that the 2PJs have many demands of their time, such that moderating comments is not something they would prefer to engage in to any extent.
That said, could a request be made of commenters here that they limit their comments on a post to one or two that sum up their thoughts and then, of course, with the right to reply to any comments from others.
The imbalanced one abuses the privilege, I would argue, by littering nearly every post with back to back to back comments, often barely related to the post, making it impossible for any sort of real discussion to occur (not that he is interested in a real discussion).
If this request were made and not obliged, said commenter could be warned several times and, if failing to comply, banned.
Personally, I don't think it's too much to ask to 1) make comments relevant to the respective post and 2) to not have comment diarrhea on nearly every post.
Yeah, I probably contribute as much to John K's hysteria as anyone, but I don't like to leave his contempt for liberals unanswered. That said, it would be better if he stayed on the topic of the post and left one comment at a time (in my opinion). I think it is fine to challenge people on this (or any) blog, but if you can't show the respect and common decency you would want to be shown ...
John K: Ah yes, Blagojevich, DEMOCRAT Gov of a Democrat state. And this just pisses you off. You left wingers figure you could just come in here and play pretend. Play that it is all the fault of Republicans and Limbaugh. LOL LOL LMAO. He is back on the job with all the power he had before and conservatives are hot on the trail. LMAO
John K: Not to fear though left wing kooks. By tomorrow morning, Olbermouth and Dayvoe will figure out a way to blame it all on Rove and link it to Bush. Dayvoe can even run his picture of Rove being taken from the White House in handcuffs. Did anyone notice they did not put Blagojevich in cuffs. Liberals only cuff conservatives. LMAO LOL LOL McGreevey/Spitzer and now this guy. It is so much fun.
Thankfully Democrats are leading the charge on removing Blogo from office - in Illinois and in the Federal government.
All 50 sitting Dem Senators are now on the record saying that Blogo should resign and that if he doesn't, They will not honor his appointment. The Senate has final say over its membership.
President-elect Obama has also said that Blogo should resign and that a special election should be held to hold the seat.
Unlike our friends across the aisle who tried to make the problems of their buddies like Duke Cunningham and Tom Delay go away, Democrats are sending a strong message that this kind of corruption has no place in our party.
Every Democrat I know and have heard, John, has blamed Blogo for his problems.
It's called personal accountability; Republicans should get some.
John K: And every prominent conservative has called for Blagojevich to resign and refuse to link it to Jackson Jr. or Obama. My question is why wasn't Blagojevich in handcuffs? You salivate over phony pictures of Rove in cuffs. Conservatives have way too much class to go the route liberals do. Has Dayvoe or Olbermouth linked it to Rove yet?
AGAIN, John K needs to do his homework. He asks "why wasn't Blagojevich in handcuffs?" Implying, I guess that because he's a Democrat the rules are different.
Problem is, HE WAS TAKEN AWAY IN HANDCUFFS. Take a look: http://www.myfoxchicago.com/myfox/pages/Home/Detail?contentId=8034029&version=1&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=1.1.1:
The text: Governor Blagojevich has been taken from the FBI headquarters to the Dirksen Federal Building. As Tera Williams reports, the FBI says he was taken away in Handcuffs. She has the latest from outside FBI headquarters.
John K: I saw a picture of Hussein Obama shaking hands with Blagojevich. That should be sufficient to indict Hussein Obama. After all, a 20 year old picture of Rumsfield shaking hands with Saddam Hussein was being used by left wing kooks, ie you guys, to indict Rumsfield and Bush. LOL LOL So indict Obama on the hand shake picture. LOL LOL LMAO
Yes because at the time RUmsfeld was shaking hands with Saddam Hussein he hadn't used mustard gas on the Iranians and nerve gas on the Kurds. Oh wait, yes he had.
Only John K would laugh about chemical weapons being used on people.
And, breaking my own rules of engagement, just to clarify, I had been meaning to make this suggestion for some time and just finally did it after yet again seeing the back to back to back nonsense of the imbalanced one.
For my own part, I don't care what party somebody is in, if they're engaging in corrupt activities, they should be out. For example, Rangel should be booted out on his a@#, and I wish there was a way to get that earmark abuser Murtha out of office. Would also like to see Pelosi and Reid replaced with real leaders.
The difference between Democratic corruption and Republican corruption is that the former is more sporadic and self-serving, while the latter is both systematic and nearly synonymous with what it means to have an R after your name these days.

Yes, the Republican theory of justice, as explained by John K. Leave 'em in place and hope nobody notices.
he is just cartoonish in his greed and arrogance.
i think he styles his hair after roman polanski back in the day.
THAT might say a lot about his attitude.

Just a thought.

Except that picture taken of Rummy shaking Saddam's hand was because Rummy was involved with selling Saddam some weapons.
Not quite the example you want to use.
