A few days ago I blogged on an upcoming rally in Beaver, PA:
The Arise USA! Rally in Beaver County is a QAnon event, plain and simple. Wendy Bell should feel right at home.
And in doing so I fear I've embarrassed Scott Tady (the reporter for the
Beaver County Times
who covered it) when I pointed out that he completely missed the QAnon angle. Oh, dear. Oh,
dear. My bad. I feel horrible about this. Just horrible.
Don't get me wrong, I am sure Scott's a fine fellow - one who's usually good
at what he does and so on. Who knows? He might be great tomorrow but he was
hopeless on pointing out the QAnon stuff.
Back to the rally.
There's a lot to unpack, as they say. We already know that the organizer is a
guy named Robert David Steele and we already know he's a QAnon Pizzagate
follower/9-11 truther. Is there anything else to know about Mr Steele?
Hoo
boy,
is there!
On Thursday (June 29), a guest on Alex Jones' radio show named Robert David Steele claimed that Mars is inhabited — by people sent to the Red Planet against their will.
"We actually believe that there is a colony on Mars that is populated by children who were kidnapped and sent into space on a 20-year ride, so that once they get to Mars, they have no alternative but to be slaves on the Mars colony," Steele told Jones, the founder of the controversial InfoWars website.
And, according to the Washington Post, the enslaved Earth children on Mars are actually part of the Pizzagate story:
On Thursday’s Infowars broadcast, Steele appeared to connect the kidnapped children being held captive on Mars to pedophile rings who allegedly use children for their youthful body parts and energy.
“Pedophilia does not stop with sodomizing children,” Steele said. “It goes straight into terrorizing them to adrenalize their blood and then murdering them. It also includes murdering them so that they can have their bone marrow harvested as well as body parts.”
“This is the original growth hormone,” Jones said.
“Yes, it's an anti-aging thing,” Steele replied.
This is the guy organizing the Arise USA! tour.
From Vice we learn:
Steele and the other speakers on the tour, who include a variety of fringe mini-celebrities from MAGA world as well as local pro-Trump figures, are using the tour to reinforce the idea that the government is not to be trusted and that regular citizens (the 99%, as Steele calls them) need to stand up and take action in order to regain control.
Central to this is the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA), a group led by longtime militia figure Richard Mack, who wants to reintroduce Posse Comitatus, a violent far-right movement that emerged in the 1970s and 1980s and whose ideas underpinned the militia and common law courts movements of the 1990s.
And the Constitutional Sheriff & Peace Officers Association. What is that?
From
The New Yorker:
C.S.P.O.A. members believe that the sheriff has the final say on a law’s constitutionality in his county. Every law-enforcement officer has some leeway in choosing which laws to enforce, which is why it’s rare to get a ticket for jaywalking, for example. But, under this philosophy, the supremacy clause of the Constitution, which dictates that federal law takes precedence over state law, is irrelevant. So is the Supreme Court. “They get up every morning and put their clothes on the same way you and I do,” Finch told me. “Why do those nine people get to decide what the rest of the country’s going to be like?” To the most dogmatic, there’s only one way to interpret the country’s founding documents: pro-gun, anti-immigrant, anti-regulation, anti-Washington.
Yea, this is a very different from how the first reporting on it (where
"speakers will address unity and change"), don't ya think?
What
about some of the other speakers?
The good folks at the Crack'd Egg were on the other side of the state cheering the coronavirus. They cheered the virus that's killed tens of thousands of Pennsylvanians. Watch the video: They. Cheered.
This will not be a simple "unity" rally. This will be an anti-government, anti-vaccine, QAnon tainted event. Everyone attached to it will be linked to the rampant ignorance on display.
Enslaved Earth children on Mars? Really Robert?
And as I said before, Wendy Bell should fit right in.
