PA State Senator Doug Mastriano Wants Some Of That Sweet ARP Funding

If you were to happen over to PA State Senator Doug Mastriano's Facebook Page you'll eventually find your way to this post here.

In it (on it?) is this PA Senate Co-Sponsorship Memorandum.

This is what GOP State Sen Doug says about it:

Police agencies across Pennsylvania are facing critical officer shortages. This comes at a time when violent crime is increasing and trafficking of deadly drugs such as fentanyl overwhelm our communities. I’m teaming up with Senator Devlin Robinson to introduce a bill that ensures police have the resources they need to safeguard their communities.

And this is the first sentence of that memorandum:

In the near future, we will introduce legislation that allocates $100 million in American Rescue Plan funds to create the “Law Enforcement Recovery Grant Program.” [Emphasis added.]

Did you see it? Didja? Huh? I even emphasized the text I wanted you to see. Can you see it now?

Do you know what the American Rescue Plan is?

That's the trillion dollar piece of legislation that was signed into law by President Biden on March 11, 2021.

Oh and no Republican in the House of Representatives voted for it and no Republican in the US Senate voted for it, either.

WTAE even drew up a "how they voted" list.  In Pennsylvania, no GOP support for this bill at all - not even from Doug's Insurgency Subpoena Buddy, Representative Scott Perry.

That's where Mastriano and Robinson are looking to get the funding for bill - from legislation that gained absolutely no GOP support in Congress.

So Doug, any public comment yet on your being subpoenaed by the United States Congress?

For your part in Trump's attempted coup?

You violated your Oath of Office by participating, didn't you?
