Altmire/Hart Debate Update

Now it's out in the open. In a piece about Melissa Hart and Jason Almire both answering questions, side by side, at the Post-Gazette, Gary Rothstein writes:

It was a rare joint appearance by them, as Ms. Hart has thus far rejected several invitations to publicly debate her opponent. The pair were respectful to each other, sticking to issues rather than personal attacks. [emphasis added]

So there you have it. No debates because Melissa Hart has "rejected" the invitations.

Now why is that? Why won't she debate the opponent that the Tribune Review has said is running neck and neck with her?

What is she afraid of?
