As much as I admire our grandparents (or parents) who lived through the depression and World War II and became our "Greatest Generation", I didn't really want to follow their path. I would be perfectly happy to live the internet life, to be well fed and entertained.

But Europe seems determined to ignore the lessons of international economics, even as we refuse to stimulate our own economy to address not only our short term unemployment and production issues, but also our long term infrastructure issues (like bridges, highways and electrical grid, not to mention green energy sources like solar and wind installations).
