Wendy Bell Pushes EVEN MORE Russian Disinformation!!

Let's start by restating (yet again) some historical context: Wendy Bell was once a respected journalist.

Look, just look, at how far she's fallen.

From the Wendy Bell Watch last night:

Transcript:

So we know the stuff that they are telling us, by and large, is garbage.

Where do you go? Who do you trust?

I don't know.

Me. Right? And I don't even have the answers.

But I'll always be skeptical.

Then this comes across.

From The Daily Expose dot UK. Now people will say "That's a right wing fringe group."

The article I'm about to read to you happens to have some things that are taken from other sources, that are purported to be government sources.

Ok? I'm going to read this to you. As we're told that:

Vladimir Putin is an evil monster. All he wants is to stop the United St--, stop NATO. He wants to stop Ukraine from this or that. Whatever his rationale is, he's bombing people, killing people. Look at the images. Oh my goodness. What a terrible human being. He is the epitome of all things evil.

Well, then there's this.

Do I know if it's correct or not? I don't but I see the documentation.

I wish I had the security clearance to verify it.

But I think it's worth discussing with you.

Russia’s Defense Ministry says Ukraine ordered scientists to destroy samples of plague, anthrax, and other lethal pathogens at US-funded laboratories near the Russian border.

The organization putting this out is called RT. When I clicked to RT it's a "you're not allowed to see this" blocked site.

Can I tell you I verified all this? No.

Let's just stop there.

Wa-a-a-y up at the start of this blogpost, I said that Wendy Bell had once been a respected journalist (8 local Emmys, I think?) but this right here shows how much that is no longer true.

Let's trace her sources.

The Daily Expose piece she's reading from can be found here.

The Daily Expose UK is, as we've posted before not a good source for information.

Here's the thing about credibility when it comes to news: once you've dropped the ball (or screwed the pooch or shat the bed) on a big story and failed to take responsibility for it, your credibility from then on is shot.

And The Daily Expose has shat the bed numerous times.  For example when they misreported on the dangers of the Covid vaccine and miscarriages (they did this twice, by the way).

So anything coming from The Daily Express needs to be seen with far more skepticism than Wendy, The Angel of Death, seems to require.

Then there's the inaccessible shadowy organization called "RT." Remember that? Remember when Wendy said that "you're not allowed" to access that site?

You mean this blocked so tightly you need a security clearance to see it source?

Wendy (or Brock, this involves you, too) how long do you actually research before broadcasting?

Looks like it's about 20-25 seconds.  Good for you.

Now about RT. What is it, exactly?

Wendy, how did you not know that "RT" was originally known as "Russia Today"?

Well there's this from the Columbia Journalism Review:

Russia Today was conceived as a soft-power tool to improve Russia’s image abroad, to counter the anti-Russian bias the Kremlin saw in the Western media. Since its founding in 2005, however, the broadcast outlet has become better known as an extension of former President Vladimir Putin’s confrontational foreign policy.

And that, Wendy, was twelve years ago

Then there's this from a mere four years ago :

Digital disinformation has become an increasingly prominent topic in both public and academic debates. In 2016, the World Economic Forum identified online warfare and disinformation as one of the top ten global risks. The use of disinformation—which is distinct from misinformation in being not only false but false as part of a ‘purposeful effort to mislead, deceive, or confuse’ preoccupies western audiences. Particularly in the wake of the crisis in Ukraine that erupted in 2013–2014, the Kremlin has been accused of orchestrating disinformation campaigns against the Ukrainian government and western countries by using online trolls and state-controlled online outlets such as RT (formerly known as Russia Today), Sputnik and Life News.

How did you not know this?

Wendy Bell, SWPA's Angel of Death used to be a respected journalist. Now she's just peddling Russian disinformation while defending the Russian dictator who's killing lots and lots of people

That's how far she's fallen.
