It's a beautiful day!

  1. It certainly is a beautiful day - Obama's lead in Montana is GROWING!

NC looks out of reach - but it will be close. That's a state that's definitely in play in 2012.

  12. I was in public grade school in North Charleroi, PA in the mid sixties and it was segregated -- two of each class -- they didn't call it segregated, they called it tracking, but even as a first grader I could figure it out.

  13. Spot on, Sherry!

Tonight on his blog, Andrew Sullivan simply posted when Obama won: America: Fuck Yeah!

Note on MT - It looks like Ron Paul is seriously hurting McCain's chances. Obama's slipped from 54% to 52%, but McCain is stuck around 45%.

And it looks like we'll take IN and NC!!!

  16. We have some huge numbers here.

Bush won Montana & Indiana by 20% points both times and now we are winning in both. What a huge turnaround.

  17. America has spoken...my biggest hope is that we will put aside the hatred that has run rampant during this campaign and the presidencies of both Bush and Clinton. Its time for us to unify again. We are the UNITED States of America after all :)

  18. We take Indiana!!!

Only down 700 votes in Missouri.

    Looking good in North Carolina.

And we're down about 1000 in Montana.

Sounds like a good idea - but please tell that to the McCain folks. Did you hear them BOO during McCain's concession speech?

Were there any boos at the Obama speech when Obama mentioned Senator McCain? I didn't hear any.

  22. did you she how mccain and palin could barely stand to embrace each other??!!

    Just posted at Newsweek online:

NEWSWEEK has also learned that Palin's shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain's top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy. One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family—clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent "tens of thousands" more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband. Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost. An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast," and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books.

McCain himself rarely spoke to Palin during the campaign, and aides kept him in the dark about the details of her spending on clothes because they were sure he would be offended. Palin asked to speak along with McCain at his Arizona concession speech Tuesday night, but campaign strategist Steve Schmidt vetoed the request.

  24. So, what's that thing about "preaches like a conservative, spends like a liberal"?

Speaking of which, she reminds me of pre-2008 Dan Snyder: spend, spend, spend, lose. Rinse, repeat next season.
Monday night game notwithstanding, of course.
