(1-8-06) WAY OVERDUE UPDATE: I e-mailed WPTT and John Poister, the program director over there responded with this:
David:So I guess that, as they say, settles that.
We are listed as an Air America Affiliate because we carry The Thom
Hartmann Show which is distributed by Air America. We have a fairly
heavy schedule of locally produced programming and, at this time, we
have no plans to expand our (good) relationship with Air America.

Thom Hartmann's show is affiliated with Air America. That's my best guess.

Thom Hartmann's program is syndicated by the network nationally for affiliates and his program is run on the weekend programing on the "Air America" affiliates. Since Thom was already on the air here they added WPTT in their listing.
He actually explained it on air to a Pittsburgh caller last month.
I have no proof of this, but I get the feeling that Hartmann will be the replacement for Al Franken when Al announces for the Minnesota Senate race late this year.
Just a guess though.
