Delays' campaign manager sends goons to wreck Dem candidate's press conference

This is how God's Own Party does it Texas style:

Lampson's Press release: "Tom DeLay's campaign sent out an email asking supporters to disrupt Nick Lampson's press conference this morning. At that event, a 69 year old woman says she was assaulted by one of the DeLay thugs who showed up to disrupt the event. The woman, Marsha Rovai, of Richmond has asked the Lampson campaign to help see if any of the televisions stations caught this incident on tape so she can consider filing an assault charge. Several of the women at the event complained that they were pushed and shoved by male DeLay supporters.

Email: "We would meet tomorrow morning at 9:45 am on the first floor of the parking garage attached to the Marriott. Please get folks to call our campaign office 281.XXX-XXXX and let us know they can do it-or e-mail Leonard Cash (in the cc field above) so that we can get some head count. Let's give Lampson a parting shot that wrecks his press conference."
You can view a video of a news report HERE. Watch it and see one of the GOP goons assault an elderly lady.

Nice!

UPDATE: I just viewed the video again and you have a man pulling the hat over the face of a 69 year-old woman and then shoving her in the face. The woman was not protesting the war or doing anything even remotely controversial -- she just came out to support a Democratic candidate. And DeLay isn't even in the race anymore. What the fuck is wrong with these people? How pathological are they??

How about Ann Coulter being heckled from the audience, or Dick Cheney speaking and being heckled by someone using the "F" word, or how about a video showing a liberal protestor tearing up the personal property of a conservative protestor who happened to be across the street. No No No. Your party never does such things, do they O' Goddess Of Innocence? My ass.

You're comparing heckling to shoving an elderly women in the face?

What an ass!

One cannot even tell how old that woman was...the first few MILLISECONDS of the clip hardly show a thing, and besides that the woman was directly within the guy's face. What's he to do? Sit there and let her scream in his face? Perhaps he should sit there and let that woman scream in his face? I am sure you'd stand there and let someone scream in your face, right Maria?

You'll LOOK for ANY little thing, no matter how petty it is, to use againt a Republican. If a Republican happened to sneeze in a Democrat's general direction, you'd be blogging about it calling it a "Attempted Virus Attack on an Innocent Democrat" or some nonsense like that.

1. We know how old she is because she was interviewed by the press. She *is* 69.

2. He was in *her* face, not the other way around. This was a press conference for Lampson, a Democratic candidate. The 69 year old woman attended the press conference as a supporter of Lampson. The intent of the Repuplican Thugs who showed up is clear from the email from the Delay camp: "give Lampson a parting shot that wrecks his press conference."

3. If the Repuplican Thug did not want someone "to scream in his face" as you put it, he could leave the press conference instead of going there to purposely "wreck" it.

4. No one has some sort of inherent right to assault someone other than in self defense and then it isn't an "assault."

5. If someone was screaming at me (and you don't know what he may have been screaming at her or if she was actually screaming at all because you cannot hear the level of her voice) I know that I have no right to assault them. Don't *you* know that?

It's not a Republican or a Democrat thing.

If the campaign manager of a Democratic candidate were to be intentionally inciting violence, Republicans would have every right to be up in arms. I don't know of any case where that has happened, but it's irrelevent. There's no defending the fact that, yes, there are corrupt Democrats. And when we find them out, we should ALL criticize them. But right now our country is being overrun by a conspiracy (yes, a conspiracy) of organized crime.

It should be clear by now that Tom Delay is an evil, evil man. A bully and a thug with no shame.

In an effort to rid ourselves of the evil and corruption that is incarnate in Tom Delay, we should un-elect every one of the people who are politically indebted to him, wether they be Republican or Democrat.

Tom Delay (R-TX), Jack Abramoff, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Sen. Conrad Burns (R-MT), Ralph Reed, Rep. John Doolittle (R-CA), Rep. J. Dennis Hastert (R-IL), Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH), Rep. Don Young (R-AK), Rep. John Boehner (R-OH), Michael Scanlon (former Delay aide), Tony Rudy (former Delay Deputy Chief of Staff), Neil Volz (former Chief of Staff to Rep. Bob Ney), David Safavian (the top federal procurement official of the Bush Administration).

You can't seperate these people - they have organized themselves together deliberately in a conspiracy to bilk us of our rights, steal our money, and destroy our democracy. Selfish, spoiled, primadonna, thugs fighting to re-create for themselves a priveledged gentry class.

and apparently the next round will include:
Rep. Adam H. Putnam (R-FL), Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), or Rep. Patrick T. McHenry (R-NC)
