Watching coverage of this disgusting tragedy on the news tonight, I can't help but think about Iraq.
Everyday, Iraqi civilians face attacks that rival and sometimes dwarf the VT tragedy in terms of deaths.
Yea.

My second thought exactly. My first thought was simply "Oh my God." Someone at work said that now America knows what it feels like to be an Iraqui. I laughed out loud. While my heart goes out to the families and the survivors, I can't help but note how quickly W gets his butt down to Virginia when it took days for him to get to New Orleans. Just another example of how the tragedies of the middle/upper middle class white community dwarf those of just about anyone else in the entire world. Sad.
