More Poll News

There's a new poll out from the Washington Post.

First the bad news for dubya - his approval numbers are still horrendous.

When asked the question:
Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president? Do you approve/disapprove strongly or somewhat?
Only 35% of those poll said they approved. 62% disapproved.

When asked the question:
Do you approve or disapprove of the way Bush is handling the situation in Iraq?
Only 29% of those polled said they approved. 70% disapproved.

And now the worse news for dubya - the public seems to like Speaker Pelosi.

When asked the question:
Do you approve or disapprove of the way Nancy Pelosi is handling her job as
Speaker of the House?
53% said said they approved. 35% disapproved.

This is AFTER the Pelosi-plane smear (which our good friend Ruth Ann Dailey did her darndest to promote and protect) and AFTER the Pelosi-Syria smear (which the Mike Pintek's been trying to promote).

Poll numbers are a snap-shot. They change all the time. But at this point and according to this poll, the American People APPROVED of Speaker Pelosi and DISAPPROVE of President Bush.

Chew on that for a bit.

Its all bad news for Dubya, worst president of the last 75 years, and maybe ever.

The only single item in that poll that has even remotely good news for BushCo is on immigration - its the one area where the public is on board with his proposal.

Too bad for BushCo, though. Immigration will cost him has base.

LOL.

You M Effers go on about poll numbers all the while your so called liberal "gun control laws" showed their true colors in Va. yesterday.

The liberal methodology of ignoring the 2nd Amendment once again, reared it's ugly face, this time, it hit a bit closer to home, did it not? How many innocent people had to die because of the ludicrous liberal way of thinking? 31 people had to die because of "gun control." When will you imbeciles ever realize that criminals can and WILL always get guns whether or not guns themselves are banned to the rest of us? Jesus Christ people, when will you wake up?

And yet David DeAngelo sits on his fat ass and talks about god damn poll numbers. Now, there's priorities for you.

You asshole, David. ASS HOLE.

Please specify the existing gun-control laws that you claim to have caused this tragedy.

But first, take your meds.

Read it and learn:

There are your gun control laws.

And there is your liberal gun control hard at work....hard at work making sure innocent people die because of a criminal who knew that there would be NO guns to shoot back at him.

Way to go libs!

Let's see. The House of Delegates (where this committee comes from) is made up of 100 members, 57 REPUBLICANS, 40 DEMOCRATS, and 3 INDEPENDENTS.

The Committee itself:

Sherwood (Chairman) - R
Griffith - R
Kilgore - R
Wright (Vice Chairman) - R
Carrico - R
Lingamfelter - R
Nutter - R
Athey - R
Hurt - R
Hogan - R
Janis - R
Cline - R
Wittman - R
Gilbert - R
Scott (of Fairfax) - R
Barlow - D
Shuler - D
Lewis - D
Miller (of Norfolk) - D
Poisson - D
Tyler - D
Bowling - D

By my count that's 15 REPUBLICANS and only 7 DEMOCRATS on that committee. So unless you're willing to say that there are some liberal republicans in Virginia, your argument is pretty much toast.

Isn't it?

If you're gonna comment here, do your homework. You'll look like an idiot if you don't.

Dear Anonymous-Who-Apparently-Isn't-A-Deranged-Gun-Nut:

Please do not confuse the concept of idiocy (untreatable) with those of ignorance (treatable) and mental illness (possibly treatable). Also, please contemplate the potential result of riling these people up in light of Monday's events.

Dear Anonymous-Who-May-Actually-Be-A-Deranged-Gun-Nut:
I did read the article in question. It seems to be a report on a bill that did NOT pass through a Republican committee in the Virginia House of Delegates. I'm not clear about how this is an example of a "liberal gun-control law," inasmuch as it is about a group of conservatives not reporting a bill out of committee.

But even though they seem to be degrading your ability to think logically, it is imperative that you get back on those medications.

Who GIVES A CRAP about what political affiliation they are? See, this is what is wrong with people like you. Because a group of 57 Republicans 40 Democrats, and 3 Independents are part of this panel, you quickly defend yourself by blaming the Republicans. Who cares if Republicans are a majority of that committee? Only an ego maniac such as yourself would quickly make the assumption that I would (1) be a Republican and (2) care. As far as I am concerned, they are ALL LIBERALS, Democrat or Republican. You cannot accept the fact that the liberal mindset is behind what happened, so you immediately blame the Republicans. Republicans who by the way, are RINOS (in case you didn't know that stands for Republican In Name Only).

Is that the best you can come up with? And people like John Shit-For-Brains comes up with his sorry ass comeback by lashing out with nothing more than personal justification for his sticking with the liberal mindset.

None of you imbeciles will accept the fact that gun control led to the deaths of those people on that campus, why by the way were assured that they would be safe because of gun control in the first place.

Keep popping the dumb pills, Anonymous and John.

By the way, I am an Independent, and not affiliated with the Democrats OR Republicans.

Anonymous: Who's doing homework now?

So ALL the Republicans in the Virginia legislature are LIBERALS?

In Virginia?

That's good to know, I guess.

None of us imbeciles will accept your irrational, unsupported statement; it's true, Master Lie.

Do you really believe that college campuses, crowded with a fair percentage of unbalanced, immature people under pressure and away from home for the first time, would be safer places if those people were walking around with guns?

In fact, what makes you think that Cho himself would have been deterred by a campus full of guns? He killed himself when he was done.

Everybody holla for WELL-REGULATED MILITIAS!!! One of these days I'll be honored to join the 1st Allegheny Amphibious militia, train with a variety of firearms, and volunteer to maintain one of many community munitions armories. Until then, I would simply feel irresponsible to claim any perceived second ammendmant rights.

The tragedy on the VT campus could have cost our country fewer lives if the police would have treated the first two deaths as something other than a domestic.
If I were a detective on campus and 2 young people were shot in cold blood I would look for suspects who are psychotic nut jobs with violent tendancies and explore the possiblity that a love interest of one of the victims.
