Uh-oh. It's Luke's mom again. Lecturing us on how "eventful" her son's life is.
Luke will self-destruct, no doubt about it. We are lookinging at "Bonfire of the Vanities" played out in real life right before our eyes. Luke is Master of the Universe for sure. And we pathetic little people just don't get it.
Politicians have always made fools of themselves. But the difference now is that all it takes is somebody posting the video on YouTube to expose them for what they are. All it takes is a search for a date and place and you get to see a politician with your own eyes. I keep dreaming that the Steelers incident will find its way there.
Now we can see for ourselves how stupid elected officials can be. April 23rd was a Monday--Luke should've been at work, fixing a broken city government. Instead, he spent all day chasing after a golf star.
This video tells a story about Luke. He's in it for what's best for him, not what's best for the city. And if given the choice between doing difficult public work and playing hooky and chasing after some sports star, he'll play hooky. And he'll use his position to benefit himself. It's time for "the chance" to end.
he's there around the 2:18 mark. How pathetic and, I have to ask, was he there on his own time? I mean, if I want to go uninvited to a major golf tournament, I'd have to take my own vacation time. Was Luke "on the clock"?
Anon, while I would typically not pay much attention to something like this, it shows a pattern with little Lukey - he is just not up to the task.
It is not about Luke. It is about the future of this city and this area. I moved back to Pittsburgh (well, the suburbs) from D.C. because I like this area and believe this city can be a great place to live and can thrive. But from what I can tell, Luke isn't ready to take on that task. At this point in this city/area's history, we certainly don't need somebody who is engaged in on-the-job training, and we certainly need somebody who recognizes that spending time trying to crash an event because of a mancrush on a professional golfer demonstrates a monumental lack of maturity.

I saw Mayor Luke for about 1 second.
What's the big fuss about this story anyway?
Oh, Matt;
The mayor's lied on the local news. Again.
That's the fuss - or haven't you been watching?
Again, this shows that you people have no life at all. Your lives are so uneventful, aren't they?
Downright pathetic if you ask me.

Thanks Mrs. Lukes Mom for setting us straight.
I didn't see the mayor, but I now have an inexplicable urge to apply for an American Express card.
Ask former Senator George Allen about YouTube.

Oh, yeah, and there's that whole lying thing, too.

Pittsburgh wonders why it's in the destitute sitation it is. I can easily explain: How many years of Democrat rule has this city been under?
Only a Democrat would believe taxation is the solution to brining this city out of the red.
Democrats know about as much about economics as David DeAngelo knows about the Atkins diet.
