I condsidered revising #1 to make it non-political, but I honestly agree that Cheney/Bush are bad for the troops.

...or are you just not a knitter?

John K. says; You support the troops by impeaching the Commander in Chief in time of war. You did good on the first 9 but failed on the Kucinich thing. Which clearly shows one thing, you don't support squat. Try again left wing kooks, you did not fool anyone. LOL

I infer, John K., that your understanding of "support the troops" is to root for them to continue to die, be maimed or kill in a desperate longshot attempt to vindicate an ideologically driven mistake.

With that in mind, you will let us know when your appetite for pointless death of American soldiers has been sated, won't you?

Thanks for that, in advance.

P.S. When did Congress declare war?

John K. says: This must be a tough day for you left wing kooks. You try to shut down recruiting stations, and then want recruiters banned from schools. You restrict military actions and try to give our enemies Constitutional protection. Must be tough being a lefty on Veteran's Day. When did congress declare war? When congress gave the President (twice I might add) the authority to pursue terrorists no matter where they hide. Ahh those pesky votes by Hillary and Kerry et al. They tried to look so tough but in the end, just like in here, your left wing support for the military is just a scam. LOL LOL LOL YOU lose, I win.

Maria,

Thank you for this list.

Thanks to "anysoldier", my letter to First Lt. Anderson, stationed in Iraq, is on its way.

I saw Chris Moore's documentary, "In Country", for the first time yesterday, on WQED. It details the return, some 35 years later, of Chris and 2 of his fellow vets, to Vietnam. It was moving and enlightening.

During the early '70s I was the same age as many soldiers returning home. I talked with some, then tried to imagine what it would've been like for me, an 18/19 year old, to go through what they'd experienced. I always failed at this, there was no way I could even begin to fathom it.

What a debt we owe to our soldiers.

I realize a letter or a care package isn't much, we need to keep the pressure on our government to have the BEST facilities and resources available for those returning home.

John K. says: Gloria has a starting point. So stop picketing recruiters, allow them into the high schools to make their case along with the rest of the businesses and schools. And stop talking down to the military as if they have no brains. When you do this you have no idea of how stupid you look and how you are mocked. Some of you lefties think that when you join the military you leave your brains at home. I would remind you lefties that is was the Army that restored order to New Orleans and not the civilians. Mayor Nagin is still good for a laugh or two. LOL

I would remind the Laughing Chickenhawk that some of us know what it's like to serve, while all he knows is how much fun it is to laugh as he watches his friends come home in body bags.

We love you, Chicken. Keep demonstrating the hypocrisy and stupidity. It's especially fun when you do it on Veterans' Day.

No one said that soldiers, upon enlistment, leave their brains at home.

Instead, upon being sent repeatedly on a misguided mission with inadequate euipment, they leave their brains (or at least splattered chunks of them) in Iraq.

I will agree that you win, John K., at least when compared with the people doing the dying for your discredited ideology. That's the luck of the chickenhawk.

John K. says: Then if you do not believe that soldiers leave their brains at home when they join, treat them as such and stop being so condesending. You lefties act as if they are not adults and not responsible for their decisions. These folks know exactly what they are doing. And while you may not agree with it, show them the respect of not trying to run their lives and acting like their mother. Trust me, the soldiers see right thru this charade.

John K. says: Oh, one more point, you left wing kooks have already surrendered, why would they listen to you. Our soldiers have grown up, you need to do the same.

to John K:

How would YOU know that "soldiers see right thru" this? How would you know ANYTHING about how a soldier thinks?

LOL It's just too easy.

Right. A person who has been a soldier doesn't know how soldier feels, but a Laughing Chickenhawk does.

Hilarious. Keep up the good work.

Well, Dwight, a few us could show you a DD-214. Of course, I'm not sure you'd recognize what it is that we'd be showing you, but that's hardly a surprise.

Impeaching Bush and Cheney? That would be one of the worst things we could do. It's important for our country to remain unified in our fight against Islamic terrorism. We should be more concerned with the actions of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his pals than our own president.
