Down to Three

It's official, Wayne Dudding has withdrawn from the race.

Sources tell me it was a matter of funding and timing. The campaign started late, couldn't get much traction, and was having trouble raising money.

So now that leaves three:To duke it out for the chance to take on Tim Murphy.

Thats too bad, but it makes my decision easier. I think Dudding could be a great candidate in the future but right now O'Donnell is the most qualified and capable to beat Murphy in November.

We haven't talked about Brien Wall yet. At the forum I attended, I found him to be sincere, idealistic, and rather Mr. Smith Goes To Washington. I thought he'd make a good congressperson but couldn't imagine in this day and age, he'd be an attractive campaigner.

I was therefore STUNNED and impressed that the ACDC voted him 2nd to Steve O'Donnell. I still have reservations about putting him up against Murphy, but it would be nice to get some debates going to test all these theories.

You hit the nail on the head Bram. Mr. Wall seemed like a very nice guy but when I asked him about specifics he was pretty weak on the issues.

Regarding the ACDC endorsement, from that I heard on the street, a lot of people in the South Hills know Mr. Wall better than the other candidates and some of them were voting for him simply because they knew him personally.

What I was more stunned about was Peduto and co. backing Hafer. After speaking to her I was shocked that she was even mentioned as the front runner, and then of course we have her surrogates spreading false accusations on the political websites and blogs about O'Donnell. Now that is class right there.

I'm not sure Peduto is/was backing Hafer. I think he was backing the idea of young, progressive voices getting exposure in young, progressive circles.

I had heard the mud was being slung from a different candidate, but who knows and who cares.

Does anyone here listen to the PA Report Podcast? Very interesting. I'm sure they'll be commenting on this one soon.
