It's funny, in Africa, President Bush has an approval rating of more than 80%, believe it or not.

Also, remember back in 2006 when the dems claimed to have all the answers for making the economcy better and ending the war in Iraq? How's that going by the way? Do Reid and Pelosi, the most ineffective leaders of our imte have any plans?

Let's assume this ridiulous survey is true. After seven years of relentless, 100% negative news coverage of his presidency, I think its amazing that 20% of the country is able to look past the BS and see what really matters.

By the way, if you want to read more about Bush's approval in Africa and his heroic actions over there, check this out.

I see what you mean, C.H. I know I get tired of those damn libruls who work for Roger Ailes at Fox News, and Rupert Murdock, the Wall Street Journal, General Electric, and Disney who keep bashing the man who just might be America's most successful military president of all imte. It's just ridiulous, isn't it?

Of course Africa loves Bush! Look at everything he has done to stabilize the situation in Darfur. And of course, the primarily Muslim population in northern Africa loves him most of all.

What we have here is arguably the worst president in American history -- which is saying a lot considering Grant, Harding, and Reagan -- taking a powder at taxpayer expense in a desperate attempt to shore up a crumbling -- did I say crumbling? Sorry, I meant obliterated -- legacy. He would deserve pity if he didn't have his Daddy's billions and the Bin Laden family to fall back on.

I just noticed: You used "heroic" and "effort" in a sentence referring to Bush. Bwahahahahaha

Since George is loved dearly in Africa, I believe he should move his family from Texas and live in Africa. We all know what a great business mind he has. Hell he can open up a General store and sell yellow cake uranium. c.h. can be the bagger.

I just noticed that CH didn't use the word "effort"...he said "actions". Maybe you should pay closer attention. Although, I'm sure its very painful for you to get hit with a dose of reality.

John K. says; Help me out here. What job is Bush running for again? Do you think with these low approval ratings he will get elected?

WRT "action" vs. "effort" -- touché. Let's see, that would make the score Shitrock 7,432,714,567,093,459,196,134, Wingnuts 1. You're closing in.

WRT reality: Don't you faith-based guys boast that you wouldn't recognize reality if it french-kissed you? But you are correct that the reality Bush has created in this country is causing a lot of pain. As you can see, John K and C.H. are feeling it so much that it has driven them right over the edge.

John K. says; Got to admit, with these low poll numbers, Bush's reelection chances look dim.

As low as Huckabee's?

Bush's low approval ratings are relevant to his desire for a legacy, but it is unlikely that he will have any prominent role in American public life after January 2009. Most Americans have no use for the man, and understandably so.

That doesn't mean his failures, or the public's opinion regarding them, are irrelevant to the 2008 elections. Republican candidates will wear the Bush administration, Iraq, and the economy around their necks.

Which is at is should be. Performance matters.

JK - Let's face it buddy, Bush is stewing in his own juices. He and his neocon cabal created the problems for which they are now taking heat. This isn't some form of media conspiracy. How ludicrous! Don't you watch or listen? The number of Right-leaning radio and TV talkers FAR outnumber those on the Left....

And if Bush is "loved" in certain part of Africa (which is most certainly an exaggeration) he certainly isn't loved in his own nation. Wanna ask the residents of the Gulf Coast how much "love" they have for him? How 'bout the millions of people who lost money...and will continue to see their savings washed away, simply because Bush and his billionaire friends believe that "regulation is bad."

One other note for CH. You can't call this a "ridiculous" survey, but then come back and say "Bush's approval ratings are up!" when he climbs back into the mid-20s! Can't have it both ways.

Can't have it both ways.

I don't see why not. C.H. and his fellow neocons have been doing just that since 1994.

John K. says; Sad part is Bush is stewing in nothing. He could care less. And that is what pisses off the left the most.
