The Conversation

Check out the conversation!

No, we don't mean this "The Conversation" -- we mean "The Conversation With Bill Toland" which is a new video feature at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette website.

You can see your 2 favorite political junkies discussing the Democratic presidential primary race here.

Wonderful to put faces on the writer. First thing I opened this AM. Thank you both for keeping us posted on notable issues and for keeping rational and calm. I do like Maria's assertion that things will calm down. I just hope the media realizes that the public is a little tired of the sensationalism taking over practical matters. Sincerity

Joh K. says: As a sidebar here, did I just hear on the radio that President Bush raised 1 million in US dollars for the local Republicans? I thought everyone was running from Bush. Oh well. By the way, you two look like typical white liberals. LMAO LOL LOL LOL I am so funny.

Thanks for raising my hopes, then cruelly dashing them on the rocks.

Joh K. says: Maybe I can't even spell my name, but just look at what a cute peenie I have! Lookie! Lookie! See me! See me!

Wow, what a hypocrite.
At 8:45 Maria goes through Mccain's previous gaffes (Bomb Iran, Don't know much about the economy) in effect bringing up his past. When Bill brings up the Wright/Sniper stories, she screams "they are bringing up the past" and gets all upset about it.

Maybe the Nation reading Independent David can explain why there is no double standard in her "bringing up the past" talking point.

1) Funny, I don't hear any "screaming." Does anyone else?

2) These aren/t "gaffes" by McCain, these are his own damn real positions in his own words (not a supporters).

Revise "screaming" to "got all emotional"
BTW, A Clinton supporter did not claim
"I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."
Clinton did and tried to excuse it by saying she "misspoke".
Could Mccain use the defenses used by his opponents that he "misspoke" or the sound bites were "cherry-picked".

He already has used the misspoke one. Remember when he said the Shia Iranians were arming the Sunnis in Iraq? He's saving cherry-picked for a big mistake, but at his age he might forget.

Hotheaded John does not stand a chance in the general election. His 'gaffes' are so numerous already, and many more are to come. Three months will be more than enough to peel away all of the 'moderate dressings' he tries to sport these days. Especially as he tries to tie Iran to Iraq.

The wingnuts will stay home and whack off to Rush, while middle America will go with the Dem. candidate overwhelmingly.
