WAPO Article on Lil Mayor Luke

Two things immediately spring to mind about today's article in the Washington Post on Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl (well, they spring to my mind anyway):

1) Alecia Sirk thinks that comparing
Lil Mayor Luke to Britney Spears
is in any way a good thing?

Besides, I did it first here.

2) If only they had added the word "hope" the following quotes would have reminded me of another pol:

"We are a town that could use some fresh perspective," said Sophie Masloff, 90, a former Pittsburgh mayor. "I like this boy, Ravenstahl. Something needs to change, so why not take our chance?"

[snip]

"The city loves him, because he's so fresh...."
Just saying...

maria,

your recent posts reek of utter desperation, but this one exudes the worst such stench yet.

lest you forget, little lukie, ronnie burkle, hillary and billy clinton are all romping in the same political bed.

And, lest you forget anti-choice Bob "I put my own self to sleep" Casey is romping with Obama.

And Maria supported Casey. I guess she's a misogynistic sexist.

Maria spent time and money campaigning against Casey in the primary.

But, he is better than Santorum which is why I supported him when he became the nominee, just as I will supoort Obama if he becomes the nominee.

Comparing Luke and Obama is genuinely low, not to mention mind-bogglingly inaccurate.

A more apt comparison might be Luke (our city's personal idiot) and our country's official town idiot, George W.

My statement stands, Maria. You supported Casey, who thinks he owns your uterus.

So the "correct" option would have been to support Santorum or to not vote or vote third party which is in effect supporting Santorum? Right! What genius!
