Democracy Has Prevailed.

Now THIS Is Funny!

A few days ago the Republicans introduced (yet again) a Constitutional Amendment "protecting" the institution of marriage. Here's the text:

Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relating to marriage.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years after the date of its submission by the Congress:

`Article --

`Section 1. This article may be cited as the `Marriage Protection Amendment'.

`Section 2. Marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitution, nor the constitution of any State, shall be construed to require that marriage or the legal incidents thereof be conferred upon any union other than the union of a man and a woman.'.

The amendment was sponsored by Roger Wicker, Senator from Mississippi. Wicker is the guy appointed to fill the vacant seat vacated by our ole pal Trent Lott.

Nothing particularly funny until you get to the cosponsors of the "Marriage Protection Amendment."

On the list: Senator David Vitter, big fan of the world's oldest profession, and Senator Larry Craig, big fan of anonymous airport same-sex fellatio.

Now that's funny!

John K: Speaking of defense of marriage; while Sen. Clinton was standing on the podium with Obama eating crow ( a priceless moment) he hubby, Bubba, was working the crowd looking for his next babe. LOL LOL I love these liberals, so easy to mock. LMAO

STFU, John. You're about as funny as Gilbert Gottfried and twice as irritating.

John K: Think I am kidding about this. I loved watching you liberals defend Bubba and his wandering ways. It gave husbands plenty of excuses. Nothing like running a family on lies eh? Lie to your kid, Chelsea, and your wife Hillary and of course the country. LMAO I knew Hillary had no problem up there on the podium faking it with Obama. LOL She got lots of practice in front of a national audience when Bubba was preaching family values to America. LMAO

John K: It is amusing that the very group, liberals, who want govt out of people's bedrooms, are always commenting on the sexual affairs of conservatives. You would think they would be consistent but not a chance. Eric, Gottfried is a liberal like you.

John K...are you so thick to not recognize hypocrisy when it hits you over the head?

Wait...dumb question.

John K., you'll be happy to know that the House is also planning to float the Defense of Stupidity Act, another wedge issue which they know will resonate with their core constituency....like you....

Pilt

And don't you get it? We don't really care about whether people have sex or how or where? We care that the nation is in a free fall, and from while recognize that it has nothing to do with fellatio....it does nave a lot to do with some rather serious pricks in the Administration and Congress.

Ha! Now it's my turn to LOL and LMAO! I'm a libertarian, not a liberal, John. Learn the difference. I've voting for Barr in November, not Obama. I voted in the Republican primary so I could support Ron Paul.

John K: Thanks for identifying yourself Eric. You sure do sound like a liberal. In fact, you whine a lot like Gottfried. LMAO at how easy you make it.

John K: I have noticed that in this part of the Country, libertarians act like liberals. I think the libertarians around here really want to be liberals but not pay the higher taxes for it. Libertarians around here are cheap liberals.

Here'a an idea: Let's all give John K. the silent treatment - forever. Do not respond to anything he posts.

The only reason he posts is because people respond to him, giving him his much needed attention he never got from his family in his life.

John K: Well that is exactly how liberals treat anyone who disagrees with them. Look at the Fairness Doctrine. They do their best to shut them up. LMAO At the person who posted the 'ignore me' post. Going thru life talking to people like shitrock who just nod their head in agreement every time you say 'Bush sucks' is defined as liberal heaven. LOL LOL LOL You can't handle me, you can't handle the truth. LMAO Ahh ignore the opposition, Robert Mugabe practices the same policy. LOL

John, it's just over your head, man...Ok? You don't even comprehend this post.

Look, had it been Bill Clinton signing on to the Marriage Amendment, then you're first post would make more sense.

But it doesn't...you haven't actually shown why there isn't tremendous irony in Vitter, who frequents prostitutes, and Craig, who seeks out sex in the men's room, in supporting an amendment "protecting" marriage.

The hypocrisy is on the Republican/conservative side of the aisle, John; something you seem incapable of acknowledging.

That's the truth you can't handle.

I really just don't understand you - one person says to ignore you and that leads to "All Liberals are like Mugabe?" Ease up on the generalizations and you mind comes across as a reasonably intelligent person.

John K: Just like Oberfuhrer Olbermann, talk only to liberals. Nod your heads in agreement when they say "Bush sucks". And pretend other opinions do not exist. LMAO I own this blog.

Yeah, Jaywillie. Why don't you talk to John K. once in a while? He knows where it's at. And he owns this blog.

You've got it backwards, Anon. The only reason we respond to John K. is to keep him posting.

He serves three useful functions:
-- He makes this blog a far more enteraining experience;
-- He let's us know what Rush is saying today; and
-- He underlines the idiocy of the American Right.

i'll reserve judgment until i've finished, IF i finish it. i have to say that it've VERY macho and self-aggrandizing... so far. but hey. they guy IS a navy seal, so i guess that's who he has to be.

*sorry... way off topic*
