McCain's staff, and Republican strategists, keep saying this election is not about issues. And the media keep writing that down. I guess we can expect debates where one side talks about families in need and statistics, and the other side talks "plain", cracks jokes and gets laughs. Like Reagan and Bush II did in their debates.

So he tried again. "Even if I want to take them away, I don't have the votes in Congress," he said. "This can't be the reason not to vote for me. Can everyone hear me in the back? I see a couple of sportsmen back there. I'm not going to take away your guns."

Who's we? I voted against Bush - twice....Oops, I forgot, the Electoral College votes for president, not me.
