Even if she were spreading Christianity, how is that a crime?
I believe it's a crime under Sharia law as practiced in the Sudan. She's a Muslim.

I understand that Maria, just trying to point out how ridiculous such a law is, and how insecure someone must be in their beliefs to have such legislation.
Of course, we have people in this country who would like to do the exact same thing, so long as its Christianity that is protected.
