PodCamp 2012 Announcement!

W-a-a-a-y back in October, KDKA's Jon Delano and I hosted a talk at PodCamp called "Old Media and New Media."

We spent a little under an hour discussing the similarities and differences between what he does (old media) and what I do (new media).  And we did it before a room that was SRO (and that was nice to see - though I suspect more were there to see Delano than DeAngelo).

Well, the video's been posted - check it aht:

If you make it through to the end, you'll see Delano and I dance - but just a little.

Damn man, you should consider a diet. Global warming has been debunked scientifically and you start your dissertation with the premise that anyone who believes other than you is just a moron. I attended this session and although Jon Delano is slightly objective I wish I would have been on the podium with you. I wonder.... and I haven't followed you as closely as I will from now on, but what do you feel about the 2nd Amendment? I'm curious.

For the record I didn't use the term "moron" to describe anyone who fails to accept the science of climate change.

But the science is solid (go check with NASA or NOAA or the National Academy of Science) - if you choose to believe that it's been debunked, it only shows your own scientific illiteracy.

But please feel free to post any "debunking" on your blog. I would guess you can fit it in someplace where you're not Swiftboating John Kerry (really, after 8 years?) or promoting torture (which is still a war crime and still illegal) or calling Senator Feinstein a "bitch" (which should fully explain to everyone here the true level of your discourse and your character) that is.

This is still the United States and any politician that openly states that she wants everyone to turn in their weapons is clearly in violation of her oath of office and earned the title bitch

Yea, you're not helping yourself.

Three months to put this online? There is a statement about how old media vs. new media that doesn't wash with that lag time.

Full of crap, Jon.

In 2001 I had a day where my blog (web site, Rauterkus.com) had more than 5,000 hits. A great many of my hits back in those days were from the media IP#s.

They said they didn't care -- but data says otherwise.

Memories.

And, back then WTAE TV 4 took down Mayor Polls -- after I took the lead.

John McYapper -- back then also was more than just a blogger. Right?

The bigger deal was why did John release the news via the blog rather than his radio show / columns (MSM).

He was at the helm of both at the time.

PodCamp is a volunteer run event. They have time constraints. My talk was meant to be in support of several others. http://csiwodeadbodies.blogspot.com/2013/01/podcamp-session-feedback-part-2-video.html
