THE Definition of "Historical Revisionism"

Via Thinkprogress.

Former Bush Administration Spokesperson was speaking about the recent shootings at Ft Hood (calling them a terrorist attack) when she said:
PERINO: And we had a terrorist attack on our country. And we should call it what it is. Because we need to face up to it so that we can prevent it from happening again.

HANNITY: I agree with you. And why won’t they say what you just so simply said?

PERINO: They want to do all of their investigations. I don’t know. All of the thinking that goes into it. But we did not have a terrorist attack on our country during President Bush’s term. I hope they’re not looking at this politically. I do think we ought it to the American people to call it what it is.
Watch the clip:

Does Sean Hannity CORRECT Perino?

That would be a no.

Happy Thanksgiving.

UPDATE (NOV 27): From Talkingpointsmemo:
Dana Perino is backpedaling on comments (that we reported on earlier) that seemed to suggest that terrorists have struck America on President Obama's watch but didn't on President Bush's.
And here's what she said on Twitter:
Last night on Hannity, I obviously meant no terror attack on U.S. post 9/11 during Bush 2nd term. We have the tools, just need to use them!
Fair is fair. She did correct herself. They never did catch Bin Laden, though, did they? Or the Anthrax killer.

I'm just sayin'.

After being waterboarded for 6 seconds wingnut shock jock Mancow admits it's "absolutely torture"

While Sean Hannity continues to punk out on his offer to be waterboarded for charity, Mancow took the plunge today:
Erich "Mancow" Muller, a Chicago-based conservative radio host, recently decided to silence critics of waterboarding once and for all. He would undergo the procedure himself, and then he would be able to confidently convince others that it is not, in fact, torture.

Or so he thought. Instead, Muller came out convinced.

"It is way worse than I thought it would be, and that's no joke," Mancow said. "It is such an odd feeling to have water poured down your nose with your head back... It was instantaneous... and I don't want to say this: absolutely torture."

"I wanted to prove it wasn't torture," Mancow said. "They cut off our heads, we put water on their face... I got voted to do this but I really thought 'I'm going to laugh this off.' "

Teh CRAZIE: Michele Bachmann Edition

The reality-challenged Representative from Minnesota, Michele Bachmann said some amazingly odd things on Sean Hannity's radio show a few days ago. She was warning, like so many wingnuts on the right, about the "economic Marxism" that's sure to come.

Via Talkingpointsmemo:
At this point the American people - it's like Thomas Jefferson said, a revolution every now and then is a good thing. We are at the point, Sean, of revolution. And by that, what I mean, an orderly revolution -- where the people of this country wake up get up and make a decision that this is not going to happen on their watch. It won't be our children and grandchildren that are in debt. It is we who are in debt, we who will be bankrupting this country, inside of ten years, if we don't get a grip. And we can't let the Democrats achieve their ends any longer.
And:
Right now I'm a member of Congress. And I believe that my job here is to be a foreign correspondent, reporting from enemy lines. And people need to understand, this isn't a game. this isn't just a political talk show that's happening right now. This is our very freedom, and we have 230 years, a continuous link of freedom that every generation has ceded to the next generation. This may be the time when that link breaks. And I'm going to do everything I can, I know you are, to make sure that we keep that link secure. We cannot allow that link to break, because as Reagan said, America is the last great hope of mankind.
And then of course Sean Hannity added:
...you are not overstating this case, Congresswoman, and you don't need to apologize for it. And as a matter of fact, it's refreshing. And I can tell you, all around this country, on 535 of the best radio stations in this country, people are saying "Amen," "Hallelujah", "where have you been?"
Wingnut heaven.
