John K. says: March and rally for Darfur? You chickenhawks! You left wingers need to get over there yourself. After all you tell conservatives they should get over to Iraq if they believe in the mission. What a bunch of chicken hawk liberals. Going to have a rally and then go eat at some posh restuarant and sip wine. LOL LOL LMAO Man is it easy to expose you.

PETETION
WE THE UNDERSIGNED RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH HAVE SERIOUS CONCERNS RELATED TO THE FUNCTIONS OF OUR LOCAL GOVERNMENT. WE HAVE NO CONFIDENCE THAT LOCAL AUTHORITIES CAN FAILY AND WITHOUT PREJEDICE INVESTIGATE THE MATTERS BELOW.
THE CITY GOVERNMENT HAS ACTED TO ALLOW AN ILLEGAL BILLBOARD OWNED BY LAMAR ADVERTISING TO BE ERECTED.
THE DIRECTOR OF THE URA, MR. PAT FORD IS ON LEAVE AND UNDER INVESTIGATION BY THE STATE ETHICS COMMISSION AS A RESULT OF AN IMPROPER RELATIONSHP WITH A LAMAR LOBBYIST.
MR. FORD, AS PLANNING DIRECTOR AND THE URBAN REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY HAS ALSO HAD INTERVENED ON BEHALF OF A LOCAL REAL ESTATE COMPANY HEADED BY A CONVICTED FELON TO ALLOW ILLEGAL BUILDING PERMITS TO BE ISSUED.
MR. FORD RENTED AN APRTMENT FROM THIS AME CONVICTED FELON'S AND HAS REFUSED TO DISCLOSE WHAT, IF ANY, RENT WAS PAID.
THE DEPARTMENT OF LAW HAS ISSUED CONTROVERSIAL LEGAL OPINIONS AND HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE THE COUNCIL WITH OPINIONS IN A TIMELY MANNER ON THE LAMAR ZONING CODE VIOLATIONS AND OTHER MATTERS.
THE LAW DEPARTMENT NOW ACCUSES OUR REPRESENTATIVES OF CONFLICTS OF INTEREST BASED UPON THEIR OBJECTIONS TO THE CITY CODE VIOLATIONS BY LAMAR.
WE DEMAND THAT THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL CONDUCT A THROUGH AND COMPREHENSIVE INVESTIGATION INTO THESE MATTERS TO DETERMINE IF THE LAWS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OR CITY CODE WERE BROKEN.
WE DEMAND THAT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL INVESTIGATE WHY A STATE AUTHORITY, THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH, ISSUED A NO BID CONTRACT, WITHOUT BOARD APPROVAL TO ALLOW LAMAR TO ERECT AN ILLEGAL BILLBOARD ON PUBLIC PROPERTY. MR. FORD WAS CHAIR OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY AT THE TIME.
WE DEMAND THAT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL INVESTIGATE WHY THE PITTSBURGH STADIUM AUTHORITY SOLD PUBLIC LAND TO THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS WELL BELOW MARKET RATE ($0.80 A SQ. FT.) WITHOUT STADIUM AUTHORITY BOARD APPROVAL.
WE DEMAND THAT THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AND ALL LAW BREAKING IN THESE MATTERS BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE AND RESTORE OUR FAITH IN OUR INSTITUTIONS OF GOVERNMENT IN THE CITY OF PIITSBURGH.
Wow!! Never thought I would be saying this, but I can't agree with you guy anymore right now. Good for you for raising awareness about this.
You have my full support every time you bring this up!!! If any of you want to, you can visit my blog, I have a number of links about the Darfur Genocide and what we can do to help.
John K. says: Yah it is sad that after 5 years of talking to people and discussion within the UN and all that stuff, that Darfur continues to exist. But wait? Obama and Matthews and Olbermouth and Pelosi says we should sit with out enemies and talk things out. Now The President, Bush, takes action to resolve conflicts. But when he does that he gets skewered by the left, who likes to just talk about stuff. And our troops, who always go in first with security and supplies get called 'cold blooded killers' by the same Olbermouth. Well keep talking about Darfur liberals and in 5 more years you can post another blog abuot how outraged you are while sipping wine and eating cheese in an air conditioned eatery in the SouthSide. Now if we knew we were't going to be called 'cold blooded killers' by the likes of Olbermouth and Murtha, conservatives might do something.
There were so very many idiotic comments from John K. today that the staff here at THE JOHN K. IDIOTIC COMMENT OF THE DAY had to work feverishly just to compile them all. The Wizened Sage wishes to thank and congratulate all of them for their hard work and sagacity in choosing today's gem.
Today, John informs us that conservatives are such cowards that they refuse to lift a finger to stop a genocide because they are afraid of what sensible people will say. Here, then, is our particularly pungent edition of THE JOHN K. IDIOTIC COMMENT OF THE DAY:
Now if we knew we were't going to be called 'cold blooded killers' by the likes of Olbermouth and Murtha, conservatives might do something.
John K. says: Now let me get this straight. You want us to invade the Sudan, a country recognized by the UN, without UN approval. To send in troops with weapons and bullets and all that stuff that kills people. Let's use the left's arguments. Has the Sudan threatened our country? Has the Sudan ever attacked us? Do they have WMDs? Have we debated or taken a vote (like we did with Iraq twice) to invade the Sudan? Now when Bush said he was taking out Saddam Hussein because he was committing genocide against Kurds and Marsh Arabs, the left said Bush lied. And the left now, via Olbermouth and people in this blog, call our troops 'cold blooded killers." So you left wingers want us to invade a country for the same reasons you decry Bush for invading Iraq for? Like I said, you left wingers are not opposed to the war in Iraq. You just want credit for it. Besides, I thought our troops were stressed (Murtha again). And we cannot take action against Iran because we have a 'broken military". The same broken and stressed military you now want to use against the Sudan. Do you left wing kooks ever listen to yourselves or do you need me to do it for you? LMAO at just how dumb you are.
"You want us to invade the Sudan, a country recognized by the UN, without UN approval."
First of all, invasion is awful premature, but if we did so we would actually seek (seriously this time) international approval, and with concerted and competent U.S. leadership we could probably get it.
"To send in troops with weapons and bullets and all that stuff that kills people."
Like I said, there's a lot we could do beforehand if we were serious about it, but I'm willing to grant you that. Sure. Bullets. Love our military.
"Let's use the left's arguments. Has the Sudan threatened our country? Has the Sudan ever attacked us? Do they have WMDs? Have we debated or taken a vote (like we did with Iraq twice) to invade the Sudan?"
If we seek real UN and international consensus, and we do so for reasons that are not made up (WMD's), and we take votes based on non-made up intelligence ... why would any of this be a problem? There are other reasons to go to war besides WMD's. It was *lying* about WMD's that was the problem.
"Now when Bush said he was taking out Saddam Hussein because he was committing genocide against Kurds and Marsh Arabs, the left said Bush lied."
No, we said he lied about weapons and weapons programs and mobile weapons labs, which is how he sold the war. He also lied by omission about *when* Saddam committed genocide (during the Reagan administration, sanctioned by the U.S. government at the time).
"And the left now, via Olbermouth and people in this blog, call our troops 'cold blooded killers.""
Not often, and only about the ones that snap under incredible stress and go insane. Which is unfortunate, and probably inappropriate, but has nothing to do with anything.
"So you left wingers want us to invade a country for the same reasons you decry Bush for invading Iraq for?"
No. And once again, this is only a rally memorializing lives lost in Darfur, and suggesting maybe we should be concerned about it. There are things we can and should be doing outside of invading. You are against this? You are against recognizing genocide?
"Like I said, you left wingers are not opposed to the war in Iraq. You just want credit for it."
Noooooo, happy to let John McCain take the rap for that one. :-)
"Besides, I thought our troops were stressed (Murtha again). And we cannot take action against Iran because we have a 'broken military". The same broken and stressed military you now want to use against the Sudan."
Again -- action does not equal invasion, invasion does not equal going it alone without international support, and mobilizing for an invasion does not need to entail lying about the reasons for it. Finally, if we go about any invasion in a responsible way -- in concert with significant allies and with a realistic plan for the aftermath -- we will not be stuck in an open-ended occupation alone and forever.
Laugh out loud. Laugh out loud. Rolling on the floor laughing.
John K. says: Thanks for confirming my conclusions. Like I have said on Darfur, you left wingers are not opposed to war and losing troops and expending assets, provided it is a war you are in favor of. You want us to invade Darfur, a province of the Sudan, without a vote of congress, with a stretched military, to solve a regional problem against a country that has never threatened our strategic intersts. Typical bunch of liberals. Why aren't we using the Obama strategy and talking to those folks in the Sudan first. LMAO Yah that got Clooney a lot of results. LOL LOL LMAO
John K. also says: Now this is funny. You want Obama to sit down and talk with al queda and that guy from Iran yet you criticize someone from this blog for talking to an fellow citizen. I keep telling you how whacked your priorities are. LMAO

I can't believe you spend all that energy replying to John K.
Wait, wait, wait...after 5 years, huh?
Five years...who was President? Where was the man of action, the cowboy diplomat?
AWOL...unless it served his own ends.
And what conflict has he resolved? Or perhaps I really did read that he "solves" conflicts by starting them...

I think we all need to take notice of our world communities and collectively stop being a*(@hole and just do what's right.
