Candidate Profile: Meet John McCain!

John McCain is the Republican presidential candidate.
He is a senator from Arizona and a famous former POW
(but everyone knows that he doesn't like to talk about that).

Sen. McCain with his lovely beer heiress wife,
Cindy, outside one of their dozen lovely homes.

McCain gets a visit from his vice presidential pick
Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska and her family.
Aren't they all just the bee's knees!

McCain on the campaign trail.

First, he visits Lehman Brothers workers and lets them
know that the fundamentals of our economy are strong!
He promises them a chicken in every pot and a car
in every garage.

McCain next visits temporary housing set up for
Hurricane Ike victims. He also promises them a
chicken in every pot and a car in every garage.
UPDATE: It turns out that these are Hurricane Katrina
victims still waiting for permanent homes.

Finally at the end of a hard day of meeting the people,
John McCain bids his wife goodnight on the very latest
high-tech gadget proving that he is a real change
candidate for the new century!

John K: Uh you are aware that McCain had difficulty using a computer key board because of his war injuries, right?

Another lie from John K.

McCain from this past July:

They go on for me. I am learning to get online myself, and I will have that down fairly soon, getting on myself. I don’t expect to be a great communicator, I don’t expect to set up my own blog, but I am becoming computer literate to the point where I can get the information that I need – including going to my daughter’s blog first, before anything else.

LMAO! John K doesn't even know this about John McCain!

I win!

John K: Try again Dayvoe. McCain cannot, for instance, lift his arms above his shoulders because of the torture he received. All of course supported by Jane Fonda and the left. So your usual post is sort of ...well disgusting.

John K: As a sidebar Dayvoe, and this is funny: When you play a board game or a game of cards, the minute the dice rolls do you start yelling Liar and threatening people with law suits. LMAO LMAO I ask that because that seems to be your usual response to everything. I just think it is funny.

if our govt says that what we do to "enemy combatants" is not torture, then what mccain wnet through in vietnam was NOT torture.

can't have it both ways.

either it's torture, or it's not.

John K: Well why are you lefties mocking McCain for torture he endured as a POW? I mean his arm injuries are documented. He has difficulty using a computer and you take that as an opportunity to mock him. Shame.....Now Hussein Obama is close friends with Ayers and Dorn who received rings from the North Vietnamese for their efforts. Wonder what Obama said when they showed him the rings?

mccain can't use a computer because he's too fucking old to learn how to do it!!!!!!

and it's not torture. our government says so.

Oh, please, John.

Spare us your feigned outrage.

Is the POW line going to be an excuse for everything?

Maria said...

JK,

Keep playing stupid -- you do it so well.

The only thing Cathcatz was mocking was McCain's ever-changing definition of torture and what he's for and against.

I have no doubt that McCain suffered as a POW, however, answering "POW" to every question just doesn't cut it. His POW story is compelling enough without all the fake embellishments that merely tarnish his record of service.

Funny post!

Actually, I'm kind of with John K. on the lifting of the arms part. The pictures Maria linked to were interesting. McCain seemed more limber in the Seventies. Maybe whatever was done to him has has a progressive effect, but it seems he doesn't bend his elbows much anymore. Even still, in all those pictures, I don't think he lifted his upper arms above his shoulders.

Does that mean he can't use a keyboard? I dunno, I suspect he could use something. There is a lot of ergonomic stuff out there. The torture he has gone through is documented. But whether to link that to computer use?

Maria, you have brought the snark and brought it well. More please.
