I'll be cooking my own turkey tomorrow.
When I lived in NYC, I rarely went home for Thanksgiving (too close to Christmas) and often made turkey dinner for my friends. I still like cooking a bird once a year. Plus, I prefer my own stuffing recipe!
always make the pies. no one bakes anymore but me. this year, thankfully, we are having the dinner at my sister's house.
i used to bake all of the xmas cookies, too but last year i gave up and bought a big tray at oakmont bakery(the best!) i'll be doing that again this year.
