Today's The Day

From Maya Angelou:
Here on the pulse of this new day
You may have the grace to look up and out
And into your sister's eyes, into
Your brother's face, your country
And say simply
Very simply
With hope
Good morning.

I asked david to change the time on this post so my (late) Bush post wouldn't be on top right now. Can't have Bush on top today!!

Well, that's done. Now we have to get to work on knocking Opie out of office.

I'm going to come clean. I couldn't even watch the Inauguration with other people at work, 'cause I was afraid I was going to tear up. And I did. I'm not exactly sure what the emotion was? Is that what joy is? Is that what hope feels like? As we get older and our emotions are somewhat tempered, it's often hard to know. But I know it felt exhilarating!

And I know this. I would rather have this man in this place at this time than anyone else I can imagine.

For a moment, just think; what if John McCain had won?

But I digress...

Like a losing team that finally wins a game I feel like saying: OK, that's one! Now let's build on it!

The benefits of working from home today: I could have a little cry.
