McCain: Flip-Flopper on Iraq

Who'da thunk it??

From the Huffingtonpost:

When it comes to getting U.S. troops out of Iraq, Sen. John McCain was for the idea before he was against it.

Three years before the Arizona Republican argued on the campaign trail that U.S. forces could be in Iraq for 100 years in the absence of violence, he decried the very concept of a long-term troop presence.

In fact, when asked specifically if he thought the U.S. military should set up shop in Iraq along the lines of what has been established in post-WWII Germany or Japan -- something McCain has repeatedly advocated during the campaign -- the senator offered nothing short of a categorical "no."

And so we can add "Iraq war" to the list of McCain's flip-flops. I wonder if someone in the so-called liberal media will ever call McCain on his advocating for surrender all those years ago.

John K. says: Well this whole flip flopping thing would make sense if those same rules were also applied to the Democrats. Sen. Clinton did vote to support the war. It is like the lying thing. The rules seems to only apply to Republicans. After all, Bubba lost his law license for 5 years for lying. And of course we know of Hillary being shot at by snipers in Bosnia. So get over yourselves left wing kooks with this flip flopping and lying stuff already. By the way, has anyone challenged Sen. Reid on his religion. He is a Mormon, same as Gov. Romney. Wonder how many wives Sen. Reid has. LOL LOL LOL Caught you lefties again.

Wow, John.

How many times CAN one wingnut try to change the subject in one comment?

You can't handle the fact that your hero McCain flipflopped on the war so you're doing your very best to change the subject to something (anything!) else.

That blog post must've hit a nerve, eh?

John K. says: Actually that is the only thing I like about McCain. He wants to bomb Iran and defeat the enemy in Iraq. Other than that he is no conservative.

no one, I mean no one should critisize this man that hasn't walked in his shoes, What have you suffered, sacrificed in the preservation of your freedom? What will you do to keep us safe? I know, you'll keep commenting on some blog, safe in your little room, lots of snacks, TV rattling on and a little physical satisification occasionally (without commitment). Don't you know how shallow you are?
