Dear Senator Toomey:And I will be posting whatever response I get from him or his office.
It's me, again. Your constituent who also writes for the local Pittsburgh-based political blog, "2 Political Junkies."
In light of Donald Trump's decision to remove the United States from the Paris Accord this past week, I'd like to ask you about your position on Climate Science. Specifically whether you agree or disagree with this statement:
Observations throughout the world make it clear that climate change is occurring, and rigorous scientific research demonstrates that the greenhouse gases emitted by human activities are the primary driver. These conclusions are based on multiple independent lines of evidence, and contrary assertions are inconsistent with an objective assessment of the vast body of peer-reviewed science. That was from a letter sent to all United States Senators in October, 2009 but since you weren't elected Senator until 2010 you may not have seen it and it was signed by representatives of eighteen leading science organizations, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Meteorological Society.
I just want to know if you agree with it. A simple yes or no is all that's necessary.
I await your response.
Senator Toomey "answered" this letter (but failed to answer it) here.

Obama: “If you go to 100 doctors, and 99 of them tell you have stomach ulcers that are caused by stress, you wouldn’t say, ‘Ah, that’s a conspiracy. All 99 doctors got together with Obama to push government programs to eliminate stress in people's life,’” he joked. “You wouldn’t do that especially since the one hack doctor who is paid by big Phama claims stomach ulcers are caused by bacteria to sell antibiotics."
This is simply dishonest.
Here is what's found at that Huffington Post piece:

“If you go to 100 doctors, and 99 of them tell you have diabetes, you wouldn’t say, ‘Ah, that’s a conspiracy. All 99 doctors got together with Obama to keep me from having bacon and donuts,’” he joked. “You wouldn’t do that.”

Usually your comments are weird non sequiturs. This one is just a lie.
Sad.
I just changed diabetes to the settled science that stomach ulcers are caused by stress.
Nope. You fabricated a quote and then said Obama said it.
That's beyond dishonest.
I am using the Neil deGrasse Tyson standard

"I have explicit memory of those words being spoken by the President. I reacted on the spot, making note for possible later reference in my public discourse."
That and I was feeling too lazy to just use [ ].
Obama: “If you go to 100 doctors, and 99 of them tell you have" [stomach ulcers that are caused by stress], you wouldn’t say, ‘Ah, that’s a conspiracy. All 99 doctors got together with Obama to" [push government programs to eliminate stress in people's lives] he joked. “You wouldn’t do that" [especially since the one hack doctor who is paid by big Phama claims stomach ulcers are caused by bacteria to sell antibiotics.]
